Rnd 3 Changes vs GWS

After watching gws live today, Really hope we take advantage of next week and rest a good chunk of our senior players.
One less travel, and a big one at that they don't have to do.
Either that or we make sure we beat them by 30 goals and that bit of % may come in handy towards the buisness end of the year.

Though it will totally screw with my Supercoach team i think we should rest a few blokes and give a few others a crack. We are no chance to lose the game and with Hawthorn the week after giving some of the older fellows a rest makes sense. However it could also backfire with such a hard game the week after. Very tricky indeed.

For mine it's:
Out:Glass, Cox, Smith & Embley

In: Brennan, McInnes, Stevenson & Stevens

Lynch in the ruck and I know we loose some height with Brennan for Glass but don't think it will matter against GWS...

All this talk of resting half the side is madness. Its round 3. Comparing it to Geelong last year is wrong too - never did they rest 4 players at the one time.

Don't send anyone carrying an injury like Embley and thats enough.

Think about resting people after the bye if they need it. Suns at home round 14, North in Tassie round 15, Lions at home round 18 and at a stretch Port away in round 21.

Never did Geelong hat 10 interstate trips in one year. We have the equal most travel of any team this year, we litterally go everywhere.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to give some players a chance to beat up on some shit opposition? Might get some confidence into them. If we were ever going to make sure we have 30+ players on the list who have played seniors this year it is this game!

What is to be gained from playing Glass, Cos et al after many had extensive game time preseason?

Yep big confidence boost. Hey fringe players. We dont rate you highly enough to think you can earn a spot in the side. Here, have a game against the giants.

I know Cox will be regret playing come finals time. Damn if only I didn't play in round 3, I would be cherry ripe for this prelim.

You do all know that there is no chance of Woosha resting anyone, right?
No chance? I hardly think that's the case.

I expect to see one or two senior players left out. There's just nothing to gain by playing everyone in a game we will win, on an away trip, when we have enough of those to negotiate this year already.

If a player is fit to play then they should play. Dont agree with flirting with form at this or any stage of the season. That said if a player has a niggle and would normally need a fitness test.... leave him home.

At this stage Id bring in Stevens for Embley.

PLay Kerr as a small forward and Stevens can take his role in the middle if needs be.

Can't believe people can't see the benefit of leaving veterans at home in a game like this.

Kerr does have a shoulder complaint. Was icing it up after pre-season games and Worsfold mentioned it in one of his pressers recently.

Embley does have a shoulder complaint.

Glass does hobble off the ground after every match looking like he is sore.

Cox is extremely important to our structures and I would be super pissed off if he missed any time due to getting injured in a nothing game like this.

Knowing Worsfold it wont be all four, but at least two of them should be staying home this week.

To the people saying we shouldn't take Sheedy lightly, if we can't beat GWS comfortably without the above players, we have no business talking a top four finish!
