Haven't got anything against the bloke, but what's the point of Nick Graham?

Runs around all game long doing a whole lot of nothing.

Not damaging by foot, not fast, not tall, not a clearance machine, not a ball magnet, not a gun tagger. Nothing.

Would love him to develop into a Sam Mitchell type, but just don't see it happening.

Yep.

I reckon he'll be out next week.

And eddie betts, seals the game for the Crows.
He sat out the back and got an extremely easy free run into goal, to be fair, Liam Jones couldnt have mucked that up

The output of Daisy, Murph and Gibbs in the first half was abysmal.

But we should drop Cas who busted his nut all night.?

Happy to have all 4 not play next week.
Murphy could be confused.
Gibbs is Gibbs
Daisy is ok, but I'd prefer to give his spot to a kid. Cuningham maybe
Cas cannot kick to save his life.

Cas up against 2 all night, gave his all and did his job apart from kick some goals.
Move Jaksch into CHF next week.
Kreuzer needs to lift and his contested marking (though finally grabbed a couple late on the lead). If only playing one ruck, it'd be Phillips in my book.
Welcome Plow & Sumner. Thought Lamb played better tonight.
Charlie continues to look promising.
Sam Docherty, bravo.
Cripps, goal kicking jitters but very serviceable with his efforts as always.
Would like to see Kerridge be a little more damaging with his disposals.
Happy to watch the team grow, though would like to see more from Gibbs & Murphy lead from the front.

Lachie Plowman, we have another defensive slot filled if that's any indication. All after an injury interrupted pre season & 1 and a half games in the twos.

Plowman, Weitering, Doc, Zach, Casey...makings of a very strong backline that. Need one more big bloke, JGM would be a bonus. Plowman was excellent IMO, in our top 6 on the ground.

Also very pleased with Sumner, again coming off serious injury & bugger all twos footy. Kicked 2, had a dip, got some pace about him and appears to kick it well.

Phillips was pretty good for 3 quarters, needs to build fitness though. Best game so far. Lamb was ok also. The GWS4 had a pretty handy night all things considered.

They're a very handy side, a 6 goal loss is nothing to get upset about at this stage. Lots of positives actually.

With our lack of quality KPP stocks right now, we have no choice but to play 2 rucks.

Hoping DVR gets a look in soon. Definitely need more pace/zip in the midfield.
Cuningham would get a game before DVR I think. Although, if Casey misses next week, we might see DVR come in.

A lot of players came alive from midway through that third quarter.

Cripps looked down and out for the second week running and came home like a freight train.

Forget Plowman's stats, he looked very good in defence with Weitering.

Murphy was taken out of the game with only 53% game time but was having a dirty night before that. Gibbs attempted to ride the late surge but was still very down.

Both rucks struggled in the first half. Both lifted in the second. Phillips got the goal as the Dogs left him alone down there. Kreuzer's kicking was terrible but his efforts again very good especially in the last. He more than anybody was throwing the ball on to his foot in traffic so can forgive a fair bit of that dismal efficiency.

Loved Charlie. He is going to be very very good. Likes imposing himself physically too.

Byrne's run was fantastic. He's building.

Sumner didn't get a lot of ball but he was a presence and if he kicks goals, a vital presence.

Simpson and Docherty very good once again.

Positives
More positive signs from new guys like Weitering, Plowman, Byrne, Curnow & Sumner.
Docherty continuing to improve and Daisy has an influence.
Fightback in second half.

Negatives
Poor games by a lot of senior players like Rowe, Murphy & Gibbs.
Casboults goalkicking has gone backwards from last year.
Our midfield is poor.

because he's a senior player who apparently finally has had his first full preseason & not a couple of game newbie. the senior players have to take responsibility for the lack what they are giving..

I was talking to the one poster who only shows up to pot Kreuzer each week. Context.

The loss of Betts and Garlett in the forward line has proven very costly. Think about this. With the current exception of Menzel every player traded or let go since the start of the Malthouse regime started is doing well at his new club. We are the only club in that category. What are we an academy for other AFL clubs??? Our team management since end of 2011 has been woeful

Rowes mistakes are just comical give me jamo any day

Once again though, Crippa had 9 clearances for us with the next best Blue having 5....

It's a shocking over-reliance.

uhhhhh.

Scott Thompson - 6
Rory Sloane - 6
Jaryd Lyons - 4
Sam Jacobs - 4
Rochard Douglas - 4
Matt Crouch - 4

Yeah not so much an over-reliance on Cripps as a lack of depth. We had 11 players win at least 1 clearance. Adelaide (who just beat clearance kings Sydney in this very stat) had 16
