Just punched my pet cat in the face.

I've had to punch my pet cat in the face every year since 2005 so he's just used to it now
Maybe you should play for the Tigers. At least you can hit your target when it matters.

lennon was patheic towards the end so slow if he hadnt have stuffed up that handball from rioli near the 50 we probably kick a goal and breathing space

lol at those who compare him to lids hes nothing like lids , his kicking is extremely overated and he is slow as treacle
Hes played about 6 full games at footy this year at any level. Not surprising that he was a little slow and off with his disposal.

That is Richmond summed up. The highs and the lows. The exhilarating thrills when the team is up and about, the fear when we start to tense up and the crushing pain of defeat. Hard to put the game into words. Hurts a lot but we did play well in patches. Another day we could have won that. Last quarter killed us sadly. Umpires did their best and got the cats back into it too.

Positives:
Rance destroyed Hawkins.
Dusty showed Paddy how it's done.
Houli looking really good - shows how much we missed him.
Drummond with a team high 8 tackles.
Goals for Rioli and Lennon while Markov was industrious.
Hammertime is getting better every week.
We didn't get thumped. :D
I disagree with the very last thing you wrote about not getting thumped. To me we did get thumped. Geelong easily tore down in 1 quarter what Richmond spent 3 bloody quarters building!

Effectively it became a 1 quarter game with the Tigs given a 6 goal head start. They were absolutely annihilated.

It happens all the time. It is almost useles to take any positives out of the game because Richmond has done this kind of thing too often for too long that it becomes totally predictable that nothing will change. How can I say this? Because nothing was learnt during the 3 EF defeats to safe guard against those sorts of mistakes and fade outs from happening again.

Nothing was learnt from the Fremantle loss last year or the Collingwood loss this year or the Suns loss years ago. How the hell did this club not learn from being overrun by North at Etihad after being 6 goals up in the third 3 years ago or by being rammed from behind by bloody Carlton in the EF by being 5 goals up?

Nothing changes. No positive look at the stats will reverse what is now highly predictable.

We got humiliated yesterday...AGAIN.

AGAIN is the word. AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN!

I only saw the 2nd half.
Correct me if Im wrong but did I see Andrew Moore playing in the ruck?
WHY ISNT TYRONE RUCKING???

That was on the members wing / half forward. Very strange, but I was surprised to see Moore go up and then I did a quick scan of the area for Hampson or Vickery, Hampson had just come on to the ground AFTER the Moore Ruck contest, and Hampson bolted into the forward 50 (was at the Punt Rd End), and then he kicked that goal

Hammer is slowly proving that he can bear the no. 1 ruck role in our team.

Out of like the 5-6 out on the ground, he was easily the most dominant big man.

Smith and Stanley are both better around the ground, but Hammer has taken his game to a whole new level since maintaining fitness. I remember when he started this year and he had more bandages than skin on his legs. He has been excellent this year. Rewarded with 2 years, and then comes out and plays really good footy. The problem now is - if he goes down, we are in a lot of trouble.

He took two huge contested marks. confidence must be sky high.

Anybody else notice A Moore taking the ruck contest a few times in the last quarter?

Yeah I think so (tank), but also the VFL have a chance to get into the finals so they won't gut that side for a win in the 1sts

Probably why they "dropped" Marcon ;)
From the website
Lambert did what he does best, finishing with 36 disposals, eight clearances and a goal.

While his partner-in-crime Adam Marcon accumulated 29 disposals, laid 11 tackles and slotted two goals

Shame they got dropped before the VFL Finals - Couldn't see them getting in before then end of the AFL season. Hope they continue to get more games in the magoo's.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the 2's pumped up while finals are a chance. No point winning in the 1's
