Robinson injured

Not good news for a player who needed every session possible over the pre season to work on his skills by foot and hand. Clearly the worst user of the football in the midfield group at Carlton.

Dunno about that, I can remember more than a few goal scoring opportunities came from long risk taking kicks by Robbo to our forwards. He has good penetration and his base skill is pretty good, just has to neaten up his overall execution and decision making to get consistency.

Anyway, hope he's okay :( He has been so durable, considering the way he throws himself around.

Not good news for Robbo but chance for guys like ellard Mclean and curnow to cerment there spots in the best 22

He's not a great user but that's more due to his decision making rather than his skills. IMO he's one of our most important players.

Missed 1 game last year. Vs West Coast at Etihad.

Carazzo says hi

It's not Robbo's skills, although they aren't great, it's his lack of lowering his eyes that causes most concerns...

He gets it in traffic and bombs it long far to many times for the coaches liking...

Everyone needs to know their limitations, Robbo's are simple, get it and give it to the finishers, by hand not foot...

Most memorable kick from Robbo in 2011 was the one he delivered to Walker in the last quarter against St Kilda in Round 7.

Or the one to Walker before MOTC.

Please. God. No.

Love his hardness and pressure he puts on the ball carrier. Really thought he would have a breakout season in
2012

Pray it's only minor.

Surely Robbo had his breakout season this year! He'll keep getting better, but he's already arrived as a serious senior footballer.

Funny finding out something like this from a forum.. I saw him this morning and he seemed fine? didn't mention it to me.

Was driven into the ground quite solidly, got up slowly and looked in quite a bit of pain.
Was not holding onto his shoulder though, but was cradling his body.

Not good news.

Who got him Harks?

It's kind of ironic.. but it was Dennis ARMfield who popped his shoulder out.

Edit: Or maybe it would be ironic if it was Dennis Shoulderfield. I'm undecided.

Disagree entirely.

Realistically, he announced himself as a player worth keeping on an afl list.

He has hardly landed as a player. This year he can go from 'hardness and courage' and move onto becoming a v good afl player.

A few BOGs and the elim final were enough for me to consider it break out. Next year is all about consistency and perhaps taking it up another notch.

Huh?

Robinson is a better footballer than a player who is only worthy of keeping his spot on a list.
