Ok great to hear but stats don't always translate to our defensive problems solved. 3/4 games have been in conditions that would impact and assist poor disposal or reduce the likelihood of being punished on the turn over.. What do you think the stats were against Adelaide in our only dry performance? Pretty poor I'd imagine!

Fact is Toovey, Frost, Williams & Brown are poor in their execution, let's hope we clean that up in 5 weeks when we start playing the good teams.

Brisbane, Adelaide, St Kilda (minus Reiwoldt) and Essendon.

I'm going to wait till we play a top 4 side like the Hawks, Swans, Freo or Port before I reach for a bag of Twisties and the tissues.

Yet winning the ball and gifting it back over at a rapid rate is not going to give us sustained opportunities to win games of football and actually blow teams away.

We need to be able to retain the ball better. Still ranked 17th in the comp by foot and #1 for turnovers per game.

Please god tidy this area up.

I'm sure these stats will go up when Sidey returns.
Throw in Reid and it should go up again. And that doesn't matter if he plays back or forward.

We were never going to be the most skillful side this year anyway, but it will be good if/when it does come together.

Short term fix, this gameplay is very tiring and requires immense durability and stamina in 4th quarter, and players might struggle to maintain it in a season. However, better than nothing and is utilizing our playing list to a very high extent
