Does anyone think that Rocket will go after any Sydney blokes. I heard a rumour that he may want to go after Saddington & Buchanon for the reason that he rated them as players but they aren't really fillng their potential under Roosy.

Buchanan has just had his best season by so far its not funny. He missed all last year through injury - hardly Roos' fault - and this year has shown glimpses that he could become a pretty decent midfielder, not just the goal sneak he had been pigeon-holed as.
Sydney may decide that Buchanan is expendable - but it won't be because he isn't (starting to) fulfilling his potential.

Why should we have to accept their proposed trade? Can't we come up with something different? Perhaps we value pick 6 more than the aforementioned players.

I would take Buchanan for our pick 38 (3rd round), as we need a clever crumbing forward. Can't see him and Schneider playing in the starting 22 together. I would hope Saddington slips through the cracks to the PSD, where we could grab him with pick 3 there. Is he currently out of contract??

Saddo is contracted till 2006 so if he aint going by trade he'll be staying.
As for Buchanan, he's just one of those players who's value means more to the club than out on the market therefore 3rd round picks would be no good to us.
