Who do we keep from the rockie list?
Grima for sure
Slade (even though we have players of his type)
The redhead looks good?

Or do we go for new players depending on how deep the draft runs????

wtf is a rockie list :p

i never heard of the rockie picks but i liked it - depending on how deep the draft runs then have to make a decision

Sam Hunt has been pretty stiff not to get a few games with the seniors this year, he is a really good player in my opinion.

I reckon our rookie list shouldn't change that dramatically.
Sherringham and Batchaelor are out of time and either need to be promoted or dropped completely. (I reckon the latter)
Retain Grima (Not worth promoting at this stage)
Hunt (Very handy as a back-up back)
Slade (Fills the role off half back nicely)

I think that we should try draft Chris Dawes with our first pick. He's a huge guy, very skillful and he might slip under some clubs radar because of his recent knee injury.
Davenport(Unlikely he'd still be there but you can always hope)
otherwise a roughie Shane Tregear. Quick, freakish skills and he could be anything.

What do you guys reckon?
Btw I don't go to BGS. Just reckon they're both great players

My view:

Grima to stay on the rookie list as a nominated rookie, with a view to playing a couple of senior games and hopefully promoted to the senior list at the end of 2007

Sheringham dumped

Batchelor dumped

Slade dumped (been around long enough and hasn't made it)

Hunt has probably been playing for his spot over the past couple of weeks and has done well - I would keep him for the quicker mid sized forwards and/or to run off his opponent and create run from defence. I'm not sure whether he can stay on the rookie list though - might be too old unless we can keep him as a mature age - if he can't stay we should think about promoting him to the senior list

Would be very happy to get Davenport with our first pick, or even with 4th/5th round pick in the main draft

Wouldn't mind a project ruckman as well, especially if we don't take Leuenberger or Tippett in the main draft

Batchelor and Sheringham either have to be promoted of cut. I think theyll both get cut.
Dont know about cutting Batchelor as he has had few injuries.
Looked good in the NAB cup before doing a hammy.
Not fortunate enough to live close to Melbourne so I dont get to any VFL games so have not seen Sherringham.

I think we have to either cut both or promote them don't we?
