I think he would be fantastic for Freo, but I reckon having him on the coaching panel in any form can only undermine Harvey's position. A bit like when Harvey came over, the media basically viewed it as him being a back-up for if/when CC was sacked.
The only way I can see us being in the running is if Harvey walks, and I don't think that will happen. Nor do I want it to happen.
He's been shit at two clubs in a row now.
Very sceptical on Eade as a coach.

Would have Eade do a role like Bomber at Essendon, n sign up Watters from Collingwood n German from Williams Town as assistants coaches.
I would say that Melbourne is his only chance for the senior job. Adelaide will go with Bickley, Port cant afford to sack Primus and Clarkson and Lyon will stay at their respective clubs.

I'd rather throw money at Roos.. Excellent man manager who could do wonders with our list..
They'll get Malthouse now and I doubt that any AFL club will sign Eade, he'll become another Robert Walls in the media and in a few years be refered to as "legendary coach Rodney Eade" just like Walls is and neither of them coached a premiership.
Here, here.
Totally agree, he's done nothing! Should've achieved much more with the squads that he's had and his game plan fails under pressure.
I really don't rate him. The Bulldogs made a big blue by extending his last contract, they weren't about to make the same mistake.

Would be stoked to get someone of Roos' calibre to Freo.
Walls coached a premiership. Also took the Bears to their first finals which was a phenomenal effort at the time. They'll get Malthouse now and I doubt that any AFL club will sign Eade, he'll become another Robert Walls in the media and in a few years be refered to as "legendary coach Rodney Eade" just like Walls is and neither of them coached a premiership.
If there was any chance throw money at him and bring him in.... but I recall he stated he was finished.
Really ?? If anything has over achieved IMO at a club with no money and has done really well to play in consecutive prelims with a side far from the best in the competition.
If I was a prospective coach I'd much rather have the Adelaide or Melbourne job than coach the Bulldogs in 2012 and beyond.
I've heard him say that a couple of times, but in some sort of oversight, consoltative whatever role ... oh yea, every day and twice on Sundays I'd say to yes to Roos being involved in our club. He has a proven knack of getting the best out of his players and his teams, and turned a few average careers around too.
As for Walls (though off topic). He was always regarded as a good coach from my rememberence of him, the issus these days is 1. He's probably living in the past a bit in terms of where footy has gone and 2. He regularly comments on things/teams/situations he knows nothing about. He's one of these (many) sports 'journalists' who does basically no real research and then pontificates on something as if he's the be all. But his coaching career, yea fairly solid.
About $12 from memory.Don't want him at ours. His departure means that the Dogs may be thinking about beers in Bali or wherever they go in three weeks time. Could be good for us.
I wonder who the Pies will drag across the continient 2 weeks before a showdown with WC also? What are the odds for a top 8 finish?
