My last rollercoaster was the Superman one at Movie World. I was sweating and breathing heavily throughout the whole waiting in line process. It looked so ****ing big and fast. And the screaming of the people on the ride wasn't exactly encouraging. But I would eventually force myself to go on.

When it started, I was overwhelmed. I knew it was going to go dead fast, but when it actually happens you're like "whoa SHIT that is FAST". Fair to say I had my eyes closed the whole time. The speed of the coaster caused my neck to lean forward for the whole ride, and I couldn't move it for days after. But it was TOTALLY worth it, and I would go on again, without a second thought.

Until a couple of years ago, I'd always been too scared to go on any ride with a steep slope or huge drop. I love them now.

Next step is one of those rides that throw you into the air, and the chair spins upside down in the air (like Freestyle at the Melbourne Show). I don't think I'm game enough, but if I find a reasonable-sized one, I'll give it a go.

Do you have any fun/shitty experiences with rollercoasters? Where? What's it called? Discuss.

Cedar Point is Sandusky Ohio is on my "to do" list.

It is the greatest roller-coaster theme park in the world. It has 76 rides, including 17 roller-coasters.

It's the only amusement park in the world with four roller coasters taller than 60 meters:

-Magnum XL 200
-Millennium Force (91 meters high)
-Wicked Twister
-Top Thrill Dragster (120 meters tall!

Known as "America's Roller Coast", Cedar Point has received the "Best Amusement Park in the World" award by Amusement Today for the past fourteen years.

Millennium Force has been voted the number one steel roller coaster in the world in Amusement Today's Golden Ticket awards six times since the year 2001, and has never been ranked lower than number two since it opened in 2000.

There was a kids rollercoaster ride in Universal Studio Singapore that I wanted to take my 2 1/2 year old on. He was borderline on the height (just under) and originally we got knocked back. Came again a few hours later and got on with him.

Should have probably had a look at the ride first - the thing took off pretty damn fast and fair to say it wasn't at all age appropriate for him.

He was frozen in fear the whole time - felt bad, but amusing nonetheless...

Their adult rollercoaster ride had a section where you go down into mist which was pretty cool.

I always think of Final Destination 3 before a rollercoaster ride, which is usually enough to make it more entertaining.

cedar point is definitely on my to do list

i thought the dragster ride at knotts berry was pretty awesome but looking at the specs and the one at cedar point blows it away.

the one at six flags new jersey is better still.

same with goliath at magic mountain. probably my favourite ride. went on it about 6 times, including a group of us convincing the operater to give us one last run after he said it was closed. but millenium force looks even better.

the supetman ride at magic mountain (same as tower of terror) is great. launching backwards so you sit in the air facing the ground is so much better than the old way of launching forwards.

Anyone ever heard of the Takabisha at the Fuji-Q highland in Japan? Neither had I until 5 minutes ago. It looks insane:

Haha! I've been on that. Hate to sound tough, but that was lame as hell.

Before I went to the QLD theme parks, the worst ride I'd been on was the Mouse one. But no regrets now, TOTALLY recommend getting off your ass and putting it onto some rollercoaster seats. The buildup is the worst bit, the rides should exhilarate you not make you scared.
