Riewoldt got the Coleman basically at the last moment, the difference between 1st and 2nd/3rd was one goal. That's a very good point you make tbh.
In 2012, Jack Riewoldt won the Coleman but didn't make the AA side. So it's not out of the question for McKay to miss out this year.
Agreed completely.I think Merrett is now in front of Parish and should be the one in the team if only one is picked.

Without sounding like a smart ass what big games has Parish played in?Agreed completely.
Parish is a big game player, can go missing a bit.
We'll see if his consistency is better next year.
Merrett is as consistent as they come.

9th in the Coleman with only key forwards ahead of him. I have already selected 3. Who do you suggest for that roleLOL. Fritsch is nowhere near the team.
I would think sub 50 goals (what he is on track for), means that you shouldn't be in the team over one of the gun mids (i'd have Nic Nat as second ruck but that's another story) unless you've also got a stack of goal assists.9th in the Coleman with only key forwards ahead of him. that’s the flaw in AA, just select a team of midfielders than.I would think sub 50 goals (what he is on track for), means that you shouldn't be in the team over one of the gun mids (i'd have Nic Nat as second ruck but that's another story) unless you've also got a stack of goal assists.
A comparison for another forward if you need another small/medium forward would be AMT. He's kicked 33 goals with 19 goal assists for a total of 52. Fritsch is 39 and 6, for a total of 45.

Fritsch does literally nothing other than kick goals, and he hasn't kicked such a large amount that he deserves to be named.that’s the flaw in AA, just select a team of midfielders than.
And no thanks I’ll take Fritsch ahead of AMT
Yeah fair enough, country game being a big game is a stretchBig games are subjective I guess.
For a team that doesn't win finals, Anzac Day, Dreamtime and the Country game are big games.
He's won all the medals for BOG on those days.
Whilst I won't make much of an argument for Fritsch making the team (May, Lever, Oliver, Petracca, Gawn all deserve to be there more than him, and Melbourne won't get six players in), the reality is he's a mid-tall third forward, and it's literally his job to kick goals. He shouldn't be compared to someone like AMT who's a small, crumbing forward who can also push up the ground.Fritsch does literally nothing other than kick goals, and he hasn't kicked such a large amount that he deserves to be named.
Now here's an argument that I really don't understand, and it's often one that's used for Nic Naitanui.Check out Walsh vs Brayshaw comparison with nearly 10% less game. Andy should be in AA contention
Now here's an argument that I really don't understand, and it's often one that's used for Nic Naitanui.
Brayshaw has had a really good year, but won't be anywhere near the team in a year where you have around 10-15 inside mids who can all make a better case for inclusion.
A player with less TOG % doesn't improve their case whatsoever. In fact, in the case of star players, them spending an extra 10% of time off the ground means that their net value is replaced by (likely) an inferior player for 10% of the game, which hurts their team overall. Players like Walsh who can stay on the ground for nearly an entire game and remain effective are worth their weight in gold.
Do you need a third tall forward type though if you've got three key forwards in the line up (like that poster did).Whilst I won't make much of an argument for Fritsch making the team (May, Lever, Oliver, Petracca, Gawn all deserve to be there more than him, and Melbourne won't get six players in), the reality is he's a mid-tall third forward, and it's literally his job to kick goals. If you look at the backline, for instance, you'll likely have two of Weitering, Andrews and May (tall defenders), 1-2 of Lever and Stewart (intercepting defenders), and then an assortment of either rebounding or lockdown type smalls (more likely to be rebounders this year, such as Rich/Dale etc). Now, would you compare the likes of Lever and Stewart to Andrews and May? How about Lever/Stewart vs Dale/Rich? No, they're completely different players.
Fritsch's chances revolve around whether they elect to pick a mid-size marking forward. If they do, his competition would mainly be Toby Greene, who I would pick over Fritsch. But to rule him out because he 'only kicks goals' is broken logic.
It’s rarely used for Naitanui because there’s no need for it to be. His impact is still greater than any ruck in the league. Now here's an argument that I really don't understand, and it's often one that's used for Nic Naitanui.

Of course it’s ridiculous, just like Mundy he doesn’t play for a Vic clubThat's ridiculous
Andy will probably make the AA team, just not this year.

ANZAC day & Dreamtime I agree, was there a crowd at the Deeamtime game this year? I can't remember

I'm sorry but I don't think Anthony Mcdonald-Tipungwuti is good enough to earn a AMT nickname. Or should Igo by DGB when referring to Denver Grainger-barras?
Yeah ok it was I do remember that nowYes there was 60k at in Perth
