I'd be keen on him, but he'd probably start playing with us instantly and undermine all the drafting we just did with our quality draft picks.

If you and Clay instantly know how good each draft pick is .....you should not be wasting your time around here - you should be making your fortune advising AFL clubs.

Think we will have up to 9 picks available to us? ...Pearce, Dick (ouch), Busher, Tunbridge, Horsley, Spurr, Manson all in the mix.

Depends if we put both Grover and Pav on the vets list - surely at least Pav so we count only half of his wage in the salary cap

If both on the vets list then we will have 5 rookie picks (6 picks if Grover doesn't go on list) and 1 PSD pick. Currently only Gavin Roberts is on our Rookie List.

Hmmmm, who to pick - plenty of options

(in no particular order)
Chad Sandilands
Brad Dick
Sam Frost
Kyal Horsley
Shane Nelson
Julian Dobosz
Clancee Pearce (been training well from all reports)
Lee Spurr
Simon Turnbridge
Marley Williams
Josh Waldhuter
Lauchlan Dalgleish
Waylen Manson (reminds me of Sibosado)
Jack Bradshaw (very speculative but could be a good inside mid)

Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. I get the impression they probably didn't care whether they were available or not.. :)

I should have added "and every AFL recruiting staff agreed with them".

Seriously, the Tribe has spoken about these players, and they have been deemed not worthy of selection in the ND.

With Richmond delisting David Gourdis and GC delisting Rex Liddy, we will drop back a couple spots in the PSD. The Doggies have also delisted Jayden Schofield, so the PSD order now looks like:

1. GWS
2. GWS
3. GWS
4. GWS
5. GWS
6. Gold Coast
7. Port
8. Richmond
9. Fremantle
10. Bulldogs

I really don't think enough of you guys are seriously worried that we will miss Dawson:(

Dawson is ours, he's already taken up residency here. But in any case, no big loss if we don't get him. People change their perception of players so quickly when they're rumoured/at odds to pull on the purple..

It would be a big loss, Dawson in negates that loading up of the forward line that Essendon, WC and Hawthorn like to do.

We are short on talls, it would be very nice to know that our backline has adequate talls for now and can cover injuries/form.

Clark was a reasonable loss too but at least there was a saving in price paid.

Dawson knows Lyon's game plan too - Dawson in and Broughton pushed back...it makes the backline our strongest asset.

Relax my friend, it's all going to work out fine. From the Herald Sun...

Gold Coast is considering both former defender Michael Coad and ex-St Kilda forward Andrew McQualter for its vacant spot.
Richmond defender David Gourdis was delisted to allow the Tigers a spot on their list to draft former Collingwood midfielder John McCarthy.
Gourdis played four games over the last two years, but Richmond needed to jettison a player given it had a full list.
Fremantle will take Zac Dawson, but Richmond is still sweating on Port Adelaide's intentions.

Until I hear his name called out I won't be resting.
Very confidant it will happen but I have two slight worries.

1. That port upset the apple cart & take McCarthy instead of Davis ,as has started to be mentioned , so then take Zac......or

2. Sheedy still on his anti Freo tirade because of Harvey's sacking takes him.

Both can easily afford him.

GWS could bearly fit Setanta in their salary cap I believe.

Nathan Krakeour just walked on the Suns - is he available/nominated and or even wants to continue playing??? There's your medium well skilled back

he quit because he his head isnt in the game and has a lot of personal issues that have built up. cant see us chasing someone who's heart isnt in it

Yeh just read the afl.com.au article posted up. Oh well, good luck to him nonetheless
