I'm don't understand what the hurry is with the rookie draft. It is only the 19th January and the Wizard Cup doesn't begin for another 3 weeks.

There are only 9 picks left and at an absolute maximum that will take the next 9 days. If anyone autopasses, that time-frame becomes shorter.

Yes, but the players are also putting time and effort into the game, and we're entitled to ask "why", when the rules change.

For example, it's was fortunate I logged on, just before I was heading away overnight for work and read that the time frame for selections had changed. Originally I had assumed that I would be back in plenty of time to make my selection in the 24 hour time-frame. Had I not logged on and been unaware of the change, I would have missed my selection.
