Love the Jack Henry pick. Jones gives us that crumbing forward option to develop, although doesn't look super quick which you would hope for from a small forward. Guth looks capable and the club obviously has the inside knowledge of him, but will obviously need time in the gym to build his strength and power. Glad to see Simpson is finally a Cat, even after a brief technical scare.

Disappointed we didn't take a shot at Tony Olango as a developing ruck option though given we don't have any young 200cm ruck options now. He would have been the only thing I would have changed from today.

Geelong was entitled to select Simpson. They actively chose not to. Notice that Geelong passed on their last pick, and Sydney grabbed Simpson afterwards. Geelong didn't want Simpson. Nothing wrong with Sydney picking him up afterwards. Or what, do you want to deny the guy access to the AFL system?

I guess all you can say is if there's 18 clubs that have passed on them in 2 drafts when phantom's thought they'd be taken then there must be something us laymen aren't seeing that they are.

Absolutely. Sometimes with the case of Walker, you'd assume it's a lack of leg speed that may have discouraged clubs, with others perhaps they interviewed particularly poorly? Interesting though to see how well they play in second tier comps (assuming they do keep playing) and whether they get a go eventually.
