exactly my point pick up with like pick 100 or something so his already on the senior list and that way his ready to go round 1 if worst case roughead isnt ready to play then adleast we got a massive full forward target as chip as chips

i would say he is exactly where the medico's expect and looking to explore globally proven science across other sports to enhance that position, no more than that - if this is what is to some as being an alarmist assessment on Roughy and the option then is to draft Fevola...I am sorry to disappoint, that is simply not going to happen.

Basically the article said he is ready to start running in two weeks and is aiming for round one. All they have said other than that is that this particular injury is uncommon in young athletes playing AFL and they are covering all their bases. It is good for someone to admit they havent seen a lot of a particular injury and are seeking advice off people who have more experience in it. I'm not saying big Rough is a certainty for early in the year but there are no hidden messages in this article. He has until the end of March to be right..... thats 4 months of training to get there. My guess is he will be good to go earlier rather than later.

Fev should not even be contemplated by the Hawks. The man is a cancer!!

I think he could make it to round 1, but we will be more careful and see him a month maybe two later just to be 100% he has taken the safest route to recovery. Remember, he is 24 and has plenty of football left. Lets not cut that short

Not sure if there's anything to read between the lines. Roughy reckons he'll be back early next season and all other comments appeared to be optimistic but cautious and focussed on his rehab program rather than when he returns. Sounds like HFC are leaving no stone unturned to get him back as good as ever.

Can't see him being available for the NAB Cup at all and I would be surprised if he ends up playing in the first two matches. I do like the 'take it gently' approach and can;t wait to see the big fella back in action.
