Ta. I might watch some of that. We have a few developing types.

The only “tall” forward is AJ and he’s not exactly tall in footy standards. This highlights exactly how shite the recruitment is for the club, even the VFL “talls” are not true talls. Glover is a very good VFL player but not exactly a tall either.

Anyway I’ll tune in with zero expectations except for Hutchinson, I’ve heard he’s good to watch.

Lachie Sullivan and Ed Allan are two I’m watching closely.

Aiden Begg … this is his chance to show why he shouldn’t be cut at the end of the year. He will likely be soundly beaten by Heath.

I thought Begg was quite good in the last VFL practice match
A pity Steene is out and Kreuger, to share the load with him

It seems such a random starting time for a game of football on a Friday does it not?

Even more so when the senior teams of the participating sides aren't playing that night.

For our VFL listed players it's more likely to clash with paid employment or adult education, while for the diehards who wish to attend it wont be possible if they work a 9 to 5 job and those with kids at school will probably avoid the mad dash.

Not a big deal but it's not an ideal time if they want to maximise the attendance.

Club must not Rate Them

Begg could be a Tall Forward
I know I post about this all the time but it just confuses me why we ignore that vital position on the ground. Even getting a raw kid and give him time to develop not move him to fullback like they did a couple of seasons ago. Time to watch the state leagues very closely for that mature bull who can be a target and let checkers, AJ etc be the third options. Alà Podsiadly who ironically was a pie. Perhaps Eyre can go back to his roots as a forward but he’s too good as a back.
Anyway, I look forward to the VFL I always do my tip Glover to get 4, AJ to get a couple and spend some time in the ruck or more likely an onballer playing ruck. Sullivan to dominate and push for selection.
