........Thought the win could have been even better had Ryder taken at least a few of his nearly double figure dropped marks inside 50. He could have had a mammoth game had he had stickier hands but not to be.........

Ryder - Get some grippo mate. Or at least some clag glue. Anything. Must have dropped 7 or 8 pretty marks inside 30 from goal that he got clean hands to. Was good in the ruck. Could have had a huge day out had he held some of those. Was still good, and liked that he did land a goal at the end, but could have been so much more........

Not sure if this has been discussed previously but I got the distinct impression that at least 2 of those (later) dropped marks were a deliberate attempt by Ryder to tap the ball forward to on running Port player's path. If true it may have reflected a lack of confidence in marking at the time or a too cute obsession with "play on at all costs". Sometimes these things work and we go "wow!" Sometimes they don't and we go "wtf!".
