In: Lots of well-earned rest and recuperation.

10-1 coming to the bye? In all honesty, none of us were expecting that at the start of the year. Sure, the last couple of weeks have been pretty poor, but we did win 9 in a row before that. Doesn't get much better than that.

Like the fact we put some players on notice. Will Clarke, Duffield straight come back in after the bye?
Personally, I don't think so. Hannath played well enough to keep his spot I reckon. Spurr was also very good.

Would be harsh on Hannath who did more today then Clarke in recent weeks. Unless Clarke has a huge game in the WAFL...

And who would go out for Duffield?

I think Hannath did enough to hold his spot ahead of Clarke and A Pearce was excellent in defence. The only obvious change will be to bring Mayne back in. It will be interesting to see if we try to run with a slightly different forward structure after the bye. I think Taberner has been pretty good and I like the way he's developing, but in the last few weeks Pavlich has been double and triple teamed every time the ball has been kicked to him, so something needs to shift.

Either Ross will have Pav, 2nd ruck and Tabs positioning differently (and Croz makes way for Mayne) or we may see Mayne playing deeper forward in the role currently occupied by Taberner.

I'd like to see Blakely get a run. I think he has a lot more to offer than Suban, but it doesn't seem likely.

IN: Mayne and a more organised forward line.
OUT: Crozier or Taberner and bombing it long to Pav.

I look forward to the much anticipated match up between Danyle Pearce and no one.

Hannath did enough. Faded after the 2nd half but was at least at the level Clarke was at the last couple of weeks. Don't see Duffield making his way back into the team with the performances Spurr and Sutcliffe had today.

If that's the case then what needs to shift is our mids need to stop kicking it to a 3 on 1. Then opposition will be forced to man up on Taberner and the resting ruckmen.

Clarke/Tabs get a lot of criticism when they have quiet games but I think what a lot of people don't realise is that their leads are often ignored in favour of kicking it to Pav.
