I'd imagine quite a few would be trading Ziebell this week.

Im looking at bringing in Hodge into my team, Im a bit undecided tho. Have a few sneaky plans, this week will either be

Mids Farren Ray out Luke Hodge in

or Mids Ray out for salopek and Hodge in for Mackie

i then wanna bring drummond/sam fisher in for cheney hopefully in like 2 weeks!

Cornes out, Hodge in now that he's bottomed out with his 45 leaving the three game window. No more trades unless Sidebottom gets to a point where I can upgrade him to a keeper. Or he's dropped... *knocks frantically on wood*

Same mids as me, although I have Cross instead of ****en Stanton Not looking too shabby this week so far either - could get almost 1000 points from those six alone, assuming Captain Gaz gets his regular lazy 150...

Pity I have duds like Houlihan and Buddy on the field too though...

Anyway, I'll most probably be trading Houlihan for Hodge this week. That'll leave Cornes on the bench but I'm still holding out hope that he'll come back just before finals time.

Or I might just sit tight for a few weeks till Drummond has bottomed out and upgrade Rance > Drummond as I have $202,000 in the bank. Will then have a backline of -

We are in very similar positions..Why are you focusing on Cornes to Drummond; Broughton and Grima are decent cover..better than Broughton and Greenwood (which I have) ROFL

I have 5 trades left too...but 1 short with my forwardline.....I don't think I can have for long:

Goodwin, Pavlich, Dudledio, Duddy, Fevola, Kosi, Sidebottom (Walker, Mcaffer)...If I use 2 trades, I'll have:

Goodwin, Pavlich, Dudledio, Duddy, Fevola, Kosi, J. Brown (Ballentyne, Mcaffer).....

I think I might wait... with the J.Brown trade..

If I do the trade, I'll complete my forwardline and have a full team....trickery

A little hamstrung by injuries and omissions. I currently have Ziebell, Cornes, Rioli, Krakouer, Raines & Coughlan sittting on the bench (plus the ruck rookies, but let's not think about them ATM).

Obviously I'll need to drop Ziebell, but then it boils down to who else. I've got about $235K in the bank, so I don't know that I can afford two BIG upgrades. I'm assuming that Krakouer, Coughlan and Rioli will be back soon, so am loath to trade them. Worried that Cornes won't be up to it even when he does come back, plus he's worth a decent wedge, so he's an excellent candidate. Raines is the only other easy choice.

So- do I bite the bullet and do one downgrade and one gun upgrade? Pav should be nice and cheap, so will Hodge, and Drummond will be a bargain in few weeks time as will Steve J. Might have missed my chance to Roo right now, which is blow. If I've worked it correctly I fall short of being able to get Roo and Hodge by about $1500

Haha, If i knew how to change my username i would, my own last name unfortunately. Not a fan of Brent Stanton at all, i should of said nice midfield except for stanton of whom i am no relation!

Stanton would be one of your teams better midfielders so I'd ease up on the criticism.

Does anyone know how much Brown will rise this week? Need to get Riewoldt into the team but I can't get the cash for it anywhere unless I trade Cornes for a relatively cheap defender that may still be able to rack up reasonable points. 6 or 7 trades left.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to bring Cooney in this week. Considered it before this lockout but held off. He has convinced me now that he is gearing up for a big second half of the season.

The only question is who do I bring him in for.. Rich, or Hasleby.
Or the other point of view is, who should I keep as my 7th midfielder for the rest of the season out of those two?

OK well I have 8 trades left and still have a few rookies starting (Grimes, Broughton, Rich and Ward.) So maybe this week Rich out and in Montagna. Then I'm content starting Broughton and Grimes for the remainder of the year and will ship Ward to the bench and trade Muston to a premium in a few weeks. Then I have 6 trades to do what I feel

I'm keeping Cornes and using Grima and Rance to cover him but will most likely upgrade Rance to Drummond in a few weeks.

Yeah team is coming along quite nicely but hasn't been all smooth sailing. Have copped my fair share of injures (Hill and Harvey going down in the same week hurt, ouch!)

Not sure if I can get both J.Brown and Drummond at once as I have $202,000 in the bank but if I upgrade Sidebum to J.Brown this week then no more cash left.

Maybe I should get J.Brown next week before its too late and then worry about getting Drummond when the time comes. Hmmm, its a bit of a dilemma, not quite sure what to do.

So tempting to grab Brown though and finish off the forward line as I don't trust Sidebums long term job security.

I'm hesitant to put Ballantyne in as a swap for Ziebell, because he didn't pass his fitness test for round 12. This means that Round 13, 14, 15 he will probably have limited TOG thus not really on-field material to replace Ziebell.

Unfortunately I don't see any other forward line downgrades available unless Liam Jurrah does a Dick, I might have to downgrade Chornes to anyone and use the money to upgrade Ziebell straight to a premium.

I'll use Ballantyne in 3 weeks once he's proved himself, to downgrade M. Brown or Walker.
