Once again, a hopeless first term killed any chance of a win, but we should be somewhat pleased with the fightback. Just wish it wasn't necessary.

Another debutant in Luamon Lual, and he surprisingly played his best game of the year (including VFL), including joining the first kick, first goal club, alongside Kako, Day-Wicks, Edwards, and Clarke.

Nic Martin is getting close to career best form again, and is starting to look like Mark Mercuri reincarnated.

I'm so happy we got Xavier Duursma. Yes, we could be using BZT right now, but Duurs is the sort of player you want to build your club around. Tough, hard at it, committed, and a beautiful kick.

This match was played in wet, challenging conditions, impacting scoring for both teams.
Max Holmes starred for Geelong with a career-high 40 disposals, 10 clearances, and 862 meters gained.
Tyson Stengle was a match-winner, kicking a game-high four goals for the Cats.
Gryan Miers contributed 26 disposals, 13 marks, and one goal, excelling in the tough conditions.
Tom Atkins was solid with 23 disposals and eight clearances, driving Geelong’s midfield. He's one of my personal favourites. Except for this week.
Gold Coast struggled with 51 inside-50s but was inefficient, thwarted by Geelong’s defense led by Jack Henry.
If anyone is going to stop Collingwood winning #17 this year, it'll be this mob.
