Round 14 Trades

the last 2 weeks i haven't traded, and they've been my two highest score too

I haven't traded for 3 weeks and have had two of my biggest scores for the year too, although this week it dropped off, as holes have started to appear all over my team.

But you should be getting better scores this time of year as your team should of been improved with each trade used (in theory) and your remaining trades should be just used to maintain your team from here on in.

I've got 5 trades left, am coming 8th in my league (although I've scored 1000 points more than any other team overall) and although my team is falling to pieces (I've got injured players and average rookies starting etc.) I'm going to wait another two rounds before making any other changes.

I can't overstate how important it is to have a number of trades late in the season as the number of players injured or rested for next season becomes phenomenal.

What should i do?

The obvious would be trading out some of your starting rookies like Tippett, Myers and Taylor. Might be an idea to bring in a decent ruckman as well. Cox may get rested later on in the season so Sandi would be the best choice.

The players that i desperately need to get rid/or interchange in my starting team are first year players in Cotchin, Kreuzer, Rioli. Rioli has hit a hurdle and is starting to score very poorly at the moment and the no Ablett factor is getting to be very costly especially in the captains stakes!!! So I am thinking for the split round that i downgrade Rioli for Valenti to free up more cash so I have $500,000 in the bank then week after upgrade McLean for Ablett and N.Thompson for Richardson. Following weeks upgrade Kreuzer for Ottens & Cotchin for Mitchell or Harvey or another midfield gun

What are the thoughts?

Sounds like a pretty solid plan. Maybe hold off on the Kreuzer trade as you may need to bring in Ottens for Cox if he finishes the season early like everyone keeps suggesting.

Will monitor Cornes, but even if he is out I will wait another week I think. No bargains down back to jump on this week anyway.

I traded out Bradshaw for McLeod this week as really needed the league win. Turns out I won by plenty anyway, so would have been handy to have that trade still and do Cornes to McLeod this week instead

only have 1 trade left!!!
have an easy win this week so agree might hold on chad until a bargain backmen comes up....Do you think Mcleodd is the go?

With the $211k i can upgrade Myers to Fisher or Bock or Bradshaw (if he's back) or Mackie

I don't understand why people are trading out Houli now.. He may be back in 1 or 2 weeks

He only needs 9 to breakeven and if he scores over 100 his value will go up by $40,000 (84 average this year)

Bartels breakeven is 137 this week and with him not scoring over 90 in 4 of his past 5 games i am holding off for maybe 1 or 2 more weeks to get a better price

O well its your team i guess people can do what they want..

dont trade out dal, he will come in in less than 3 weeks. i have the same dilemma on bartel. salopek is out, and i have two options
harvey - dropped a lot in price in the last 5 weeks, averages 109!
bartel - 30k cheaper, can he hit his straps?
thoughts? both could have a lot of upside...

Only problem is I don't really want to trade out Kreuzer (all year player and back-up) for Renouf who is a risk as to weather he will play or not. Or wait a few weeks for another young player to emerge and then do a similar trade?

I would take one of the first three. Bartel is apparently carrying an injury and green is inconsistant in a bad team. I would personally take Mitchel or Corey for consistancy
