Hawkins as the lone tall does not work. I'd be staggered if Buzza isn't a late inclusion.

Or Bews goes back and Taylor plays forward.

Don’t typically take named sides seriously (hello Jed Bews at full forward) but Blicavs in ruck sticks out. May have been spooked with Lycett last week. Looking to Grundy in finals, do they want a plan B if bad Rhys shows up?
Surely that ship has sailed.

You would think so, but the way Lycett dominated those ground balls after the initial ruck contest was very worrying last week. Grundy is the exact player to exploit that weakness. I'd be playing Smith a bit more in back end of the year. Have them both ready to play finals and pick the one in best form.

Fine line with Stanley, you want him on edge and motivated, but his confidence is fragile.....

Stanley beat O'Brian last time we played them, can't see why he wouldn't line up in his usual spot.

Like you I'd bring Buzza in with instructions fly for everything get the ball to ground for the crumbers,he's no great ruck but he keeps the kingpin Blits at home down back I'd rather not mess with that, and Blits as a ruck doesn't kill it anyway.

as long as Hawkins is left one on one, I'd still back him against Talia, even if just to bring it to ground. Let's go back to what was working well which, unlike last week, means some reasonable delivery to Hawk

The starting 22 as named last night won't give us that, unless we go back to Taylor playing forward.

Buzza should have played last week. Instead we went with a 7 foot statue. This week we've gone with a garden gnome.

Also, how many defenders do we want to name? I'm surprised Henderson wasn't included as well. I was going to go to this game but we'll be lucky to kick 10 goals so why bother.

If we can even manage to BREAK EVEN in the middle, we should win this game. Our backline will hold up. Last week, even with the mids getting whacked, we held Port to 9 goals.

Break even in the middle, or even possibly win (imagine that), then we’re absolutely favourites to collect 4 points.

Easier said than done. Go Cats! 🤞🏼🙏🏼

The good thing is GWS lost. We now need Hawthorn to defeat West Coast so the chances of playing interstate in week 1 of the finals lessens.

I think the Crows will do a number on us here. We have too many defenders and we're playing two short in the middle.

lol at the ****ing negativity in here already. Some people just turn into absoloute pansies after a loss.

This game is a regulation win for Geelong. It'll be 5+ goals and all you sooks will be back on the gravy train like the weak minded pissants you clearly are!

Picked me in one.

Absolutely no reason to lose this game - this is our bread and butter. Not sure what Fogarty is going to bring to be honest - lets wait and see. Stanley should be thanking his lucky stars he is in the team...

Lol. Most of this board said we wouldn't make the 8 before the season started so let's not talk about gravy trains.
