Extremely commonIt’s actually extremely common for one wing to sit defensive side of stoppage. Almost every team sets up that way. The role is skinny wing. Which is actually just wing. Usually changes whether you play fat or skinny wing based on your best attributes or even what side of the ground the stoppage is on. We have generally put the Kelly’s, heppells, setterfeilds in skinny wing, but I have also seen duursma, cox, Martin also playing it. It wasn’t a one off role for setterfeild it’s a basic midfield structure that almost every team uses.
McGrath has played it in previous seasons and everyone on here was getting on his back for slamming the ball on his boot, but that’s common for a skinny wing. Usually if you have got the ball it means it’s from a broken stoppage.
