Guess the commentators, mostly Lyon, have been told Lipinksi is the best in the comp for kicks inside 50. He's got a heap of recognition tonight.
It helped that he nailed almost every inside 50 he kicked. His delivery was brilliant last night.

I think that the blues board are completely broken. Just from the first page of their autopsy thread:

Beyond disappointing
Can’t get up and about for a game vs the old enemy.
It’s been one of the worst seasons I can remember as a supporter and I’ve watched us ‘win’ multiple wooden spoons.

We’re capable of 1 decent quarter per game, usually the first. Capitulation after that.
Anyway, grab your cans and head down to princes park

This club has no heart

Blow it up

I think they've finally made me actually hate the club.

Sick of football

I shudder to think how much Collingwood would have beaten us by if there wasn’t a club wide gastro virus they were suffering this week 🙄

A shedload of stats padding in that last quarter. Some guys sharing it around to help each other. Don't be fooled.

Laughing stock of the competition.

I was in the MCC too and was missing that many passages of play and missed a couple of goals because people couldn’t stay in their seat for more than 10 mins and then forgot where they were sitting. Was infuriating.

Had the same issue in AFL, first time I can ever remember it being that bad, and it wasn’t just the Carlton fans either.

Yeah I said it after the Hawthorn game how that stat initially took me by surprise. But then I rewatched the Hawks game again with that new perspective and it suddenly stood out like a sore thumb how well he delivers inside 50

To be fair, Fly has been saying it in interviews and press conferences since 2023 lol

Guess many of us just didn’t want to listen. Me included.

Fun fact we have the two top inside 50 players in the comp right now.

Lippa sits at over 50% marks from his inside 50’s. Number 1 in the league.

Beau had a staggering 81% retention rate from his inside 50’s as of round 10. Number 1 in the league by almost 10% at the time.

They shouldn't be totally surprised.
From memory, a year or so ago Champion Data had Lipinski as one of the top 5 or 10 effective players in the game with ball in hand.

We're witnessing the mantra that Fly has instilled in the club. Player's already have internal pressures in wanting to perform and contribute (we all know how that feels in every aspect of life), it's not the role of a coach to add more pressure, it's their job to nurture and allow you to get the best out of yourself. Playing without those negative thoughts in the back of your mind allows you to focus on the task at hand with a clear crisp mindset and what we saw tonight is how talented our list is when we reach that level of focus.

Satisfaction shouldn't simply be derived from winning. Being in an environment that lets your talent bloom is the ultimate player satisfaction.

Absolutely love it, never ever shall I tire of smashing the scum, the archest of arch enemies.

Cameron was a titan last night, get the man re-signed

Forward line talls all put in,

Elliot is a freak.

Pendles, I want some of whatever he is putting in his water bottle

Backline was solid again.

Soooooooo many contested marks, broke their spirit.

Won the hard ball.

Roan Steel, take a bow son, looks like we've found another more than handy mid-season draftee, looked very composed, fit and tidy.

Sully, best game for the club last night, loved it. And that goal!

Linpinski, gave a master class on delivery into the forward 50,

Crisp, still looks fresh, still getting plenty of it

How good is it to see titch on the bottom of packs feeding out hand balls.

Just a wonderful win

Watching the blues live, i was shocked at how poorly skilled they are coupled with how poor they are at knowing what to do.
Voss was actually pretty spot on with his assessment based on what i watched.
They took too long to assess and decide what to do defensively.
Were talking seconds, but it was a big difference.

They double grabbed everything to the point where you actually noticed a clean take.
Never seen so many floaters, it was just astounding at how bad they were across the ground.

There was a moment on the members wing where Cowan had to decide whether to come up or stay back.
he took 6-7 steps fwd towards the player, who he was never going to interrupt, then realized and tried to fall back.
too late....ball was easily moved over the top and Jamie had a shot.
He needed to know he was the last man up and just took too long to realize.

IQ was in almost the identical position later in the game, he took 1-2 steps fwd, then moved back.
Got back in time, engaged and took the 1v1 mark.

Both split second decisions, the difference was IQ summed it up much faster and knew it was better to let the blues guy mark on the wing then come up and be in no mans land.

was a stark example of the system and players understanding the game and making the right decision for the moment.
Hard to tell whether that's experience, system, teaching or individual player (probably a combination of all of them).

Maybe I haven’t watched closely enough in the past, but I felt Parker looked really assured last night.
He was really hard at it in some of the contests.
One against TDK where he managed to get a body in and force the spill, despite been out of position (probably says a lot about TDK TBF).

he also read the ball in flight really really quickly.
multiple times he already had his opponent done in flight well before the ball was in the area.
was actually impressive to see.

yeah he missed a few kicks going fwd....but i'd much prefer he try them than a safe little kick sideways.

big tick for me if he's required in earnest when it counts.
comfortable he will absolutely do the job we need.

There was no atmosphere at all. The 20 min earlier start caught a lot of people off guard so there was almost no noise when the ball was bounced to start the game.

The first quarter was eerily quiet in terms of crowd involvement. My watch normally alerts me of a noisy environment many times during a game. Last night, I was alerted just once.

By the end of Q3 when Crisp slotted his goal, he turned to the crowd which was a sea of empty white seats of allocated Carlton member seating.
First Carlton v Collingwood game under 80k since Covid effected year.
