="Hartlett as my M9 (M8 while Ablett is off). At 409k I think he is an amazing buy. Has huge upside and will have a huge rest of the year imo. Just look at some of the big scores he has produced this year. He is really really low price from a bad game and a super early injury to his ankle against Sydney. Will be great to have at M8/M9 with Swanny for the rest of the year when Ablett is back. Can just loophole who scores better and saves me from trading out Swanny. Leaves me with 150k as well for 2 last trades when needed.

What you doing with Gaz and Swanny Gingy ? Does the above sound like a good idea to you?

I tend to agree. Think he is good value at the moment as well. Would feel more confident starting him on the ground over Swan to be honest.

If it's only 2-3 weeks, no way I'll be trading the best SC player OF ALL TIME! Hopefully some of the people who do trade him out, run out of trades and are unable to trade him back in for SC Finals.

I don't know, I feel that 2-3 is being very optimistic myself (4-6 seems more reasonable to me). I'm trading GAJ to JPK myself (have 4 trades left after this).

Then you should trade. :thumbsu:

Just keep 1 spare for trading him back in later on. ;)

But then you need to keep the $150k or so it will take to bring him back as well (because you wont want to get rid of JPK to get him back, you will want to get rid of whoever sucked the last 2 weeks, and thus is at $520k rather than $620k

Also, Jiska, no trades seems the obvious play. When making the next trade, try and wait a week and find a spot for Mitchell for DPP flexability IMO, maybe Mitchell at $400k and Jayden Hunt for Taylor and another spud rook

Why waste a trade on a defmid dpp rookie.
Injury cover trades only imho

Doesn't hurt to plan. Mitchell is in unless he get injured or scores less than 80

Plans last 5 mins in SC
Who'd have planned for gajs injury

The bye week comes at a good time if it's only a 2-3 week injury, means Ablett only misses 1-2 rounds.

I have 8 trades so the logical thing would be to trade him out. I probably have to with Goddard also out of my side, and only Wingard as playing back-up.

If you have cover for GAJ, I'd rather upgrade Goddard

that's exactly why i want mitchell though. allows for a premium backup in defence and mids. plus he will be a POD. capable of big scores

I get the dpp option but he won't be a pod at all.

Good luck whichever way you go:thumbsu:

5 trades, 9k

DEF: Swallow, Bartel, McVeigh , Simpson, Jaensch, Hanley (Bews , Rohan Powell)
MID: Ablett , Pendlebury, Kennedy, Selwood, Ward, Beams, Fyfe, Cotchin (Salem, Hartung)
RUC: Sandilands , Mumford (Currie , King)
FWD: Parker , Dangerfield, Zorko , Franklin, Pavlich , Wingard (Ambrose, Cameron)

I need league wins both this week and next so I will probably go....

Ablett > Libba

Will leave me 120k and 4 trades left, hopefully no more trades before finals

"I hope he misses the next 2 weeks, gws at home and saints the following week followed by the bye because it will stuff a lot of teams up whereas I have Sideshow Ben Brown for cover."

Brought to you by Feerits Elf Translation Services Pty Ltd. :thumbsu:
Now that is one fantastic player nickname!

If you only have 2 trades, and are looking at leagues in some way shape or form (dont get me wrong, I would like $50k as much as the next guy, but if you are in a league with $500+ up top, or outside the top 200 overall, you are better off focusing on that unless you are top 5 overall) having a DPP like Mitchell for $400k is a far better prospect then say, JPH for $600k and zero cover in the event of emergency.

I would definitely hold fire this week either way, hope for the best and embrace the variance...

That was my initial plan before Garry went down TBH. With my final two trades I was planning next week of downgrading Taylor and then upgrading Cutler to Mitchell which would give me cover on each line.

I may still go down that path next week. If I've got cover on each line that's the main thing. I've stuck fat with my long term strategy all year instead of reacting when players miss and just copping the donut. It's served me well thus far.

I do think my strategy will need changing next year though. I've gone hard early this year.

4 trades left, 32,500 left
Big move given my lack of trades, but considering McGovern > Parker then Ablett to a mid under 515k (Treloar, ASwallow, O'Meara)
Is this too crazy??? Only playing for league wins and will win this week, and leaves me with Shenton until nearly the end, but Parker is tough to pass up at this price and Shooter is going to lose value in the next week or two as well. My other option is to do nothing this week and then Ablett to JPK/libba then Shenton to SMitchell next week

you don't think so?
26,000 selections at present, which is POD really
i think with Ablett, Goddard, Rockliff this week, people will burn trades they didn't want to and not be able to bring him in

Sam Mitchell will be the most traded in player over the next 3 weeks IMO.
