How good is Rampe? A couple of seasons ago he was a SFL player and now he's an attacking, quick, intelligent, creative AFL player. His skills are far better than those with perceived more talent that grew up in an Aussie rules state. Bert Newton once said 'I like the boy'!

Hanners had a lot of it, and butchered a lot of it, not sure he was BOG

He did butcher it at times, but hard to ignore 40 & 3.

Broadly agree, but for all his skills he has an uncanny knack of missing basic passes. It's like when he doesn't have to kick through the ball, he over thinks it.

NB: that said, there are 21 other players in the team!

Hanners turned it over so often under no pressure that I couldn't give him the votes this week. He's so damn good that he'd be elite if he could hit targets, as might Parker. Rampe also missed my vote due to frustrating turnovers whereas Laidler and Shaw showed pinpoint, accurate attacking rebound which set up a lot of play. Laidler brave and magnificent efforts in defence. Grundy, Rampe, Smith special mentions too.
