I am going to go:

Menzel > Papley

Then i will have 130k to do something with. Not sure what that something is, because I want to back most of my pre-season choices. Maybe I could upgrade Harwood, but i doubt enough coin

M.Crouch --> Gibbs

Not sure about 2nd trade yet.

Probably going to trade Howe for Sheridan via downgrading Robinson who's been reported + tweaked/injured his calf.

Mitch Robinson?? faaark. There is my other trade

At this stage Steele > Papley
and Seedsman > whoever I will be able to afford. M Crouch looks like heading to the Bench.

Report was nothing to worry about. I don't think his calf issue looked too bad. Maybe he's doubtful to play this week, should be fine after that.

Sheridan seemed to have a fantastic role, just getting so many cheap +6s. Will trade him in for Howe.
My other trade I'm unsure of. Two options I can think of atm- Dusty down to S. Gray (still has a great role, should be a top 10 forward this year) or J. Simpkin down to McCarthy

I need to get Papley really bad but it is difficult when my forward Rookies are Kerridge, Wells, Kent, Menadue, McCarthy. And all of my midfield rookies are good aswell so cannot swap Menadue in there. I'm thinking:

McCarthy to Papley (Only if McCarthy really struggles, all of the other rookies got 60+ so it's going to be hard to get Papley)
Tippa to a 125k player that plays hopefully Ruggles if he is named.

I wouldn't trade D.Martin he is pretty reliable, despite his low round 1 score. I think it'll be a waste of a trade.

Even though it's only 1 week it's tempting to trade Martin for Goldstein. Martin should have at least had an advantage in the direct ruck contests with Naitanui but he was even beaten there. And North have Brisbane in round 2 at the Gabba. One of the good things for me is that if I want to bring in Papley or Hewett I do not need to burn a trade as I have them as reserves.
Can't actually see another trade I want to make, there have of course been players in some positions who have done better this week but a few of them were premiums where you'd expect it was an aberration and others are low-priced players who are at least exceeding their break evens.
Ruck is the only area where I might be wanted to change both. The oint in fantasy is not excellence but score and I think Lobbe(although ot in round 2 against Jacobs) may have a bit more opportunity for fantasy score than Gawn. I'll wait to see what happens there.

did you watch it at all? Was kinda odd. It was like Martin had conceded he couldn't beat NicNat as more often than not he wasn't even jumping, but actually trying to rove his tap. Pretty weird

I saw Matthew Primus do that successfully once in order to get the ball into the Port forward lines so that they could beat Carlton with the last kick of the game. But that was in the days of non-recalled poor bounces as soon as this was bounced he just placed himself in the best place to steal the tap.

Not concerned at all by Martin's low score. Just feel I need Sam Gray and it is either Martin or Barlow that has to make way for him. Great role, has scored well consistently in a full strength port team, priced about 20 points under what he looks like averaging. Plays Essendon in round 3 too. Would be trading Martin or Barlow back in at some point guaranteed.

Jelwood ----> Dangerfield.

Really regretting saving the extra cash.
