I am fortunate enough to have 2 Trades left for my Must WIN cash game Prelim final.

I am forced to do the UNTHINKABLE but very strategic move....

I am GOING TO TRADE OUT BROUGHTON!!

Broughton -> Cornes

ALLOWS

Beams -> Ablett

With poor Hasleby left on the Bench as EMG.

Mids will be:

Ablett, Dal Santo, Bartel, Pendlebury, Judd, Power (Emg: Hasleby, Muston)

Backs will be:

Goddard, Shaw, Hodge, Gilbee, Drummond, Fisher, Chornes, (Suban, Pestinko)

question:
am i crazy for considering trading ellis > hurley so that i can afford to go higgins > davis?
or since higgins might be back this week, should i trade out ellis and rich instead? thoughts?

Only problem is that if Fletcher's out for a couple of weeks you'd think Hurley would have to play down back as a key defender. Still, he scored 90 IIRC in his first game playing on Tredrea.

I have 1 trade and could get anyone except for Swan in the midfield. Everyone left in my league has Ablett so I could either get him to nullify his threat or take a risk with Montagna?

2 trades left....thinking I may as well use them both this week

Skippy => SJ
Rich=> Montagna

I'm a tad worried about Hodge and Bock though, which might require me to rethink! :(

Bock is only hopeful of returning for the real finals, let along before round 22 - per reports on local radio over the weekend

I think you'll have to move on him like I will

No trades for me this week. I have two left, but not enough cash for a worthwhile upgrade. I'll hope to make it through my three Preliminary Finals and unleash my final two trades in the Grand Finals. Round 22 is dangerous SC territory with injuries and players being rested or put on ice, so these two trades are best kept in hand IMO.

Probably Rich to Sewell / Corey.

Leaving one trade for the grand final [most likely for Hodge, if not... Fisher the spud].

Trying to avoid a trade this week but am carrying a donut in my backline at the moment. Hopefully Grimey comes good to cover that donut and I'll let it slide. Otherwise, unless my opponent is carrying a couple of donuts too, I think I'll be forced to trade. Thankfully, I have Leigh Harding and $120k up my sleeve which should get me Drummond, Enright or Lockyer. Still to decide.... Can't afford Goddard but anyone else is mine... Suggestions?? I have Broughton....

1 trade left, Ryder and Grimes injured, leaving me with a donut in the backline. If Grimes come up, I'll consider holding off on trading, if he doesn't, I'll most likely trade Grimes out for the best available with the cash I have left (Hodge or Duffield, I would imagine).

None for me. I used my last trade to upgrade Tippet to Didak. Lucky I did too cause I only won by 21 points. Ryders injury bugs me, so I have to hope that Rance gets named again. Even 20-30 points from him is better then a 0.

alright, im most likely trading out higgins and ellis.
option 1:
ellis > hurley
+
higgins > davis

option 2:
higgins > Stevie J
+
ellis > enright/newman

options 3 + 4 involve trading rich instead of higgins.

option 3:
rich > S.Thompson
+
ellis > scotland

option 4:
ellis > hurley
+
rich > bartel/corey/davis/watson

what should i do? thoughts anyone?

I am thinking two trades. (Have three left)

Out: M Brown, Rich
In: Medhurst, Dal Santo

Hoping Medhurst may be coming into some form. Does anyone have any thoughts on him?

If Higgins isn't playing this week i'll replace him with either Riewoldt or ROK. Leaning towards Roo cos of the Saints' opponents. If Higgins is playing, i'll use that trade to upgrade Rich to either Swan or Montagna. That one's a harder decision. Any opinions would be handy thanks.

Trix: sj's a gamble given his hip still looks sore, but if he's named to play i'd go option 2.

He didn't have a pre-season and has consequently suffered this year. He might be coming into form but scoring 82 in a 93 point win isn't anything special so I'm not sure about him. But at that price he is the best buy so if you really want NDS for Rich then get Medders.

Ok, Must win Prelim final coming up, forwards are fine, mids are nearly there, and backs arent anything special:

Would like to know what I should do with Houlihan, he is now playing on the bench, as Grima (Average 80) is now on the ground, although Houlihan did get an 87 this round, am thinking of trading him out and picking up Duffield.

I am not completely sold on Ryan Griffen, pulled a zero on me (And dangerfield was not picked) so that left me short in the mids, everyone else has a top notch midfield, I have Griffen (A: 88) and Anthony (92.5) as my two lower mids, do I keep them and hope they keep the form going or trade one of them out for an out an out star like Sewell or Selwood??

1 trade left and need to trade out Bock.

Really undecided between DRUMMOND, ENRIGHT or SHAW.

My opponent this week has Drummond and Enright so I could get one of them to nullify my opponent's score or take Shaw and hope his recent form continues....

My backline currently stands:

Goddard
Newman
Gilbert
Hodge
Cornes
Broughton
Bock
----
Suban
Cheney

If you want to trade Boc out, go with Shaw.

Last year he got tagged but now with Davis/Didak/Swan/Pendles getting all the attention he is consistently scoring well (hasn't scored under 70 for the season except the game he got injured in). Those 4 guys will continue to get all the attention so Heater's form will continue.

His past scores against Sydney are: 102, 100, 80, 117, 120

WB in the last week who he also scores well against (93, 158, 78, 137, 135) so I'd go with him. Although beware that if we win this week and WB lose we'll have 3rd spot sewn up so there is a slight chance we might rest him.

Hmm, with Bock and Cross out and cut throat finals time..

Drummond/Hayes
Drummond/Dal Santo
Shaw/Sewell or Mitchell
Shaw/Boyd

options of Bartel,Montagna are out as the opponent has them.. We have other matching midfielders..And he doesn't have Shaw or Drummond.

was leaning towards Shaw and you've just sold me :D

Damn 2 trades left and have Cross, Griffen and Guerra out.

Have Suban covering for Guerra but Mckernan's my other reserve so if i don't do anything with Guerra it leaves me a bit short of cover. (My other defenders are Newman, Enright, Lockyer, Mcphee, Firrito & Hodge who is worrying)

Midfield I have Muston & Swift as cover which is nice, but I'd rather not have to start either of them.

Was originally thinking Cross & Guerra for either Swan & Duffield or Goddard & Dal Santo.... (I have 212,700 spare)

However now, i think I am going to have to rely on Suban and trade 2 mids (unless Hodge is out this week which would **** me up royally). So i have 1,205,900 for two mids which could be Swan and someone like Corery/Bartel or any two mids not including Swan ( I already have GAJ, Pendlebury, Judd & Anthony).

Have prelims in all three of my leagues this week.

Suggestions?

Who should I trade out this week? (2 trades, $6k)

Goddard, Fisher, Gilbert, Gilbee, Cornes, Grimes, Broughton (Grima, Cheney)
Ablett, Selwood, Judd, Bartel, Power, Cooney (Anthony, Muston)
McIntosh, Clark (Jacobs, Browne)
Riewoldt, Davis, Franklin, Pavlich, Johnson, Chapman, Higgins (Brown, Ballantyne)

My low amount of dollars in the bank makes it difficult. At the moment I am thinking Higgins-->Davey + Grimes-->Drummond. Although I may be better of using my 2 trades to get one gun like Swan?
