Biggest concern:

Wet day - Umpires look to send Richmond off in style - again. Rance will be permitted to scrag Buddy all day with imunity.

Confident we will take them apart.
Bigger concern is - if we beat Hawks in first final - we will have literally 1 game in a 4 week period. And teams after byes always seem to struggle.

I don't mind the Towers move, still clearly in our best 22 at present and we need his ability to cover the ground come finals.

But they have given him a little clip by dropping him to ensure he retains his focus as it's just started to lapse the last couple of weeks.

Wet day?
It will be sunny unless the Swans do a rain dance for a warm up.

Maybe.
I still think it would have been better to give him a position at the start of the season and let him learn from experience. He provides outside run and an X factor that we need.

What no-one seemed to notice is that one of the Norf snipers (Thompson) ran straight at Buddy in a contest, no eyes for the ball, and got him in the hip with an elbow. Naturally ignored by the umpires - but Buddy was struggling to run for 2 quarters.

I noticed! At least it's not serious...unless they're keeping it from us. Also, at least Thompson didn't get back in the game either.

Resting Mills before finals, I get it. But given the bye? Maybe?

Towers... derserves his place of McGlynn. Last chance for McGlynn?
Reckon he's in there to tag someone or they like the two small forward model. Different role to Towers. Feel for Towers, Laids and BJ. Loyal and true servants. It's a hard world.

It is an important game to win to stay in the top 2. I love the centiment of Richards playing a final game, but in reality, its what happens sometimes when you are in a quality team.

We need to choose the best team and I personally back Horse, despite what Richards has given to the club.
I suspect Teddy would agree with you. Looking forward to his farewell lap. Top guy.

Would've loved to see all three of those guys play this week. BJ needs some reward for his great form for 90% of this year!

Im keen to see Harry Marsh back in the side over Laidler, as good as Laidler has been. If not for Aliir and Marshe's injury, he'd be the golden child in defence aside from Mills. Marsh looked awesome when he played, so composed.
^ This guy is a genius selector!

So the two teams that win the first final & get the week's rest, while the remaining teams smack the sh.t out of each other, are at a disadvantage?
Finals footy is a totally different ball game to H & A games. If our guys aren't switched on & inspired enough to win the chance to play off in a GF & then perhaps become p'ship legends of our club & competition, then it was never meant to be.

Destiny is in their hands. In 2013 & 2015 it was injury that robbed us of the chance to be premiers according to many.
If that's the case, then in 2014 we were lucky to have made it that far & it is questionable whether we deserved to play on the big stage that day. We stunk it up big time.

I don't want our club there on that last day of the season if they are concerned about a bye (having a rest & freshening up)!

Simple equation. Beat a crap team tomorrow & finish on top. Percentage is then all forgotten! Rest up & fix up the niggles the following week. It is the only advantage remaining after earning the right to. Hawthorn will be!
Win the first final & have another rest the week after! Hawthorn will try to!
Go hard as hell and win the prelim to get a shot at the flag the following week! Hawthorn will know how to!
Play hard & aggressively from the first bounce of the GF, targeting the oppositions' prime movers, no matter how far over the line we go & make use of that advantage early on the scoreboard! We ALL know only too well that Hawthorn will!

As we stand now, we ONLY need to win 4 games in a row to go all the way OR lose one & do in 5 games!

Which journey would the Hawks prefer to take?

The Casino.

I rewound it a few times and that was very deliberate. He was not going for the ball. Umpires' eyes were elsewhere!

but i vomit everytime i see them

That may be the case but they have still had our measure since 2012. We've managed to grind out a couple of wins against them in the past couple of years so hopefully this means we are starting to figure them out.

I wouldn't be upset to see the new BigBadBustlin(Bud) be a late out this week. He looked sore last week and last thing we'd need is Rance getting stuck right into whatever rib/back/hip issue that he's got. I'm dead certain Rance would be targeting that area and the whole Tigers list would have been told to fly into that area shoulder first whenever possible.

I think a bit of cotton wool for him leading into finals would be the better part of valor IMO.

Cheers sports bar on George st (few hundred metres from town hall) should have it

Swear some/all of these experts have nfi about the Swans! They want sinclair back if fit in for Naismith. Farken lol spare me.

Might it have something to do with Tippet being a far better player and more dangerous when playing the ruck and going forward and Sinclair being our best forward option as a ruckman??
