Gee what a disaster that would be, our first year draftees tearing it up in the VFL.

We are 2 games into like a 4 or 5 year rebuild. Are people really surprised we are playing senior players with a smattering of youth? The process of getting them all settled in to the team will take 18 months, probably more. We've seen already that we aren't afraid to play them when they're ready - we've had 4 debutants this year. They will get their opportunity.

Wasn’t last week Kane’s first full game of the season? Maybe give him another run at VFL. If he backs it up, bring him in. If we picked him this week, he’d be sub for sure.

The Saints Team looks pretty average on paper to me, but cagey ol Ross will come up with a game plan to roll us.

Lynch back is a great thing for Armstrong and Lalor getting off the leash, and doing some damage in th f50. I’m just looking forward to watching these guys and Trainor.

It’s Rd3, McAuliffe’s non selection is not such a big deal. He’s gets another hard hit out, which will be good for him, and one of quite a few who are playing for their place in the side long term will probably make way next week.

Pretty good with the changes. From the VFL game, I thought McAuliffe was better with the ball than Sonsie.

Having said that, where Sonsie stood out over McAuliffe IMO was his ability to stay in the game. I know I’m splitting hairs, but McAuliffe appeared gassed a couple of times and went missing when the heat was on in the first half of the second quarter. Sonsie though kept in touch throughout the entire game.

Marvel’s the wrong deck to be having tank issues. Nevertheless, both had great games on the weekend. Wouldn’t have minded whichever way the selection committee went with this.

Gez alot of whinging here. Plenty of kids in that side. Yeah McAuliffe I would like but( remember he had a interrupted preseason so maybe building fitness). Bauer out instead of the tap for me , but Sonsie has done nothing wrong first 2 weeks. A few senior players through on notice.

If youre picking one of the top 2 on the ground, you ARE rewarding form. Not rewarding form is picking a guy that barely touched it over either of them

Sonsie didn’t deserve to be dropped after R[emoji637] but they obviously wanted him to get a full game in midfield … he was BOG and deserves his spot back.

I assume McCaullife remaining in VFL is following similar logic, and I’m on with it.

But if McCaullife is BOG again and McIntosh remains in the senior team over a youngster, I’ll spew up ….

I'm sorry, but what is the point if Sonsie at AFL level over McAuliffe? Sonsie has had more than his fair share of chances at AFL level and has proven time and again he is not up to it.

Give McAuliffe a damn game. We need some pace through the middle ffs.

Not sure of this stance. Never gets played on ball. So won’t write him off until he gets a fair crack at it. Dow on the other hand, has been rubbish for 2 years straight.

From what mansell said they’re really searching for consistency which extends to team selection I guess. Only changes made practically forced. I’d say we’re trying to win some games first half of the year and once the acl guys etc are available we’ll change it up.
