Hasn't the Westhoff ship sailed?
Not if you think he could average 95+ for the next few rounds at least (possible upgrade to Franklin when he kicks 29 against GWS & GC in rd 8 and 9) or could do it the whole season, priced at a 90 average currently. Bloody annoying for most of us that we have him in after the 70k price jump (no one took 154 v GWS seriously) but that doesn't mean he isn't still good value.

Surely Pittard isn't a drop risk at all? Thoughts Schulzenfest

Had a poor game last week, but was one of our best in the two previous weeks. 99% sure he wouldn't get dropped, but Hinkley is a harsh man when he feels that somebody hasn't met team standards so I wouldn't call it a 100% chance.

Trade problem.

I have a decent amount in the bank already. This week I'm trading out Kreuzer and Embley. I can go two ways on this. My first option allows me to get Rockliff and A. Swallow, and leaves me with almost no cash left. The second option downgrades both to two of Terlich/Rowe/Crouch and adds to my cash pile, which by now is pretty substantial (800k+) and just waiting for two big upgrades next week. All three named rookies are on the bubble, but they'll still be pretty cheap and good for cash cowing if I bring them in a week later and trade out some other under performers. Still, I lose the cash of that first upgrade, and it's all about cash this year. Can I take a weaker score one week for a stronger future return?

If you can be bothered reading this and chipping in, what would you do?

Pittard dropped for Colquhoun would be ideal for me!

In the same boat man... Not sure at all why i am going to do.

for me the axe is falling on varcrook and kruezer, mayes and goldstein the obvious replacements, and leaves me 622 000 for upgrades next week.

at this stage, going for cash generation.

kommer > Crouch

embely > terlich (by moving one of my b/c into the midfield.

I'd go the second option using Rowe and Crouch. Then you'd basically set yourself up pretty well with multiple upgrades. You'd be in a pretty enviable position after that, particularly if your doing alright at the moment :thumbsu:

Kommer out suspended leaves me with the pretty easy decision to trade him to Crouch.

Have Docherty and Vlaustin sitting on my bench in the back line (that worked out well...) so it's about time I address that. Defence as a whole is pretty rookie reliant so getting rid of Docherty and have my choice of defenders with the cash i've currently got. Tossing up between Goddard, Hanley or Hartlett.

Defiantly doing Kommer to Crouch.
But my second trade has me itching my head.
I am thinking either
Currie to Rowe
Dangerfield to Swallow
or
Dangerfield to Hodge.
Getting Rowe obviously cos he will be rising in money this week and has a low BE and will continue to rise.
I am kinda worried about getting rid of Dangerfield, but hasnt done anything too spectacular these past few games. Sure finished in the 90s past two games but after strong first halves he looks like he is gonna hav a much higher score then drops off.
So Swallow obviously inform and a safe bet. Hodge I feel could be risky, but would get me lots of money, and looks to be the goods at the moment.
Thoughts?

I have 4 players I want to trade out currently - Zorko, Currie, Kommer & Mitchell
Zorko --> Goldstein (cox move to fwd) vs Martin
Currie --> Rowe
Kommer/Mitchell -> Crouch
Currently leaning towards bringing in Rowe and trading out Zorko but this would leave me no emergency midfielder for this weekend

There will be other downgrade options in a few weeks. I can't see Vlastuin waiting too much longer, nor Stringer or Macrae for the Dogs. Mayes will be on the bubble next week.

Perhaps a single upgrade/downgrade strategy, preserving some of your cash but progressively improving your side, rather than a double upgrade or downgrade week ?

Quietly happy on my karnezis --> Cloke trade last week. Can't believe he still isn't being talked about, all the hoff fuss has swept him under the carpet!

I've certainly noticed him... Need to sort out a few other issues first....

Not really like for like but dogs have 3 spots available for at least a few weeks (Higgins, Wood, Dickson)

Would think at least one of these guys would come in to a spot this week and form permitting has a chance of stringing a few together.

For me

Kommer to Crouch is easy.

Not sure where to go with other trade. Varcoe to Hoff/Monfries/SJ/Mayes are my options.

Still Hoff reluctant, Unsure whether to spend my cash on SJ take the Monfries half premium option or go rookie cash.

Ablett and Watson due to be very appealing prices in a couple weeks but mid rookies won't be near ripe for upgrading. Worth saving cash to get mid premiums in or take the forwards now?

Hrm have both Kommer and Patton.

Kommer > Crouch safe bet.

Then

Jacobs hasn't impressed me I could trade him to > Goldstein

Or Jacobs > move cox to ruck > get a good fwd

Westhoff ship has sailed? That's a tricky one. I feel like it probably has.

similar situation to the guy above me. SJ is always a good bet isn't he? I'm tempted to grab him for jacobs...

Depending on selection I am considering trading Barlow & McVeigh --> Boyd & A.Swallow which would wipe out my remaining $183k to about $23k or maybe just Barlow for Boyd (swapped Boyd for Barlow after round 1) which should leave me with about $91

wow lucky i checked on Hodge! I was always under the impression he has only played one game, and I was going to get him next week before his price goes up....

so now my (final) trades for this week:

Kreuzer -> Burger
Vickery -> Hodge (and move Neade to Fwd)

Is Kane Cornes back to his best at 30 years of age?
Scores of 119,116 and 128. Tagged Nathan Jones round 1 and Patrick Dangerfield round 3.
508k B/E of 57. New coach...anyone watch him in those games or interested in bringing him in?
