I know the crows are deserving favorites and yes they score heavily but they don't defend well and have leaked an enormous amount of points against and have now
Lost their best KPD.

Given our defence has performed as the best in the comp to date I am daring to dream a little. **** I hate it when the tigs give me this hope.

Have we?

We haven't conceded more than 91 points this season (5th least points against, and only 60 points more than Richmond). Mind you we're yet to concede less than 80, but we haven't played any of the really impotent teams yet; we're also not the most defensively minded team either.

No chance keeping a lid on if we beat Adelaide in Adelaide, it will have been blown off its hinges

That lid deserves to be blown off as well.

Left field.
Rance on Betts.

I swear you've put Rance on Betts before?

Jenkins looking likely to play.

I'd be surprised. We won't consider playing Jenkins until he's 100% as he's one of those players who just cannot mentally deal with playing with a knock unfortunately.

Rance to Jenkins, Otten to go back with Talia out then maybe?

Otten will be in the backline with Talia out.

Forward line, we'll probably go smaller with a Greenwood/Beech coming in. Unfortunately, it's starting to get a bit bottom of the barrel stuff seeing one is a cat. b rookie (looks the goods though) and the other is a career SANFL player.

Made the mistake of not checking BigFooty since the game and 53 pages down, serious effort there! haha
Biggest thing I took from the game were Melbourne trying to be too tough and it backfiring.
Viney (who I do like as a player normally) getting into Richmond guys and getting knocked down
Jones (who I don't like as a player) giving Dusty a whack and then when Dusty retaliates and Jones plays for a free
Watts needs to earn his shot at having a go at Rance
The worst was Melksham (one of the genuine flogs in the game) pretending to throw a punch at Jack and laughing when he had a minor flinch, noone expects to get sucker punched on the field so of course he's not going to expect that. Melbourne went to a new low

Normally I listen to the radio at the game but i had to put it away for the same reason. Was doing my head in. They were missing a 2 game newby and another guy who had played 30 odd games in 9 years. Didn't affect their midfield at all. Don't care what anyone says they were cooked at 3/4 time and it wasn't due to injuries.
Didn't we win a game with Griff off for 3 quarters with concussion?

It's comments like these as to why opposition supporters think we're getting arrogant.
he publicly ripped into us, so ofc when it blows up we along with anyone who isn't collingwood is going to rip back into him for such a ****ing ******ed comment

he put his balls on the line there and pays the price

If you take out the game we scored 99, then the only 2 games we've gone below scoring 100 pts have both been wet weather games.

We're 1st for points against and 5th for points for (were 4th before this Rd.5) so it's actually not the gulf most people think

I'd argue the gulf is more in who we've beaten compared to you seeing GWS (40+), Hawks, Port, Essendon (40+) and Gold Coast (40+) is a better list then Carlton (40+), Collingwood, West Coast, Brisbane (40+) and Melbourne; of course i'm sure you're not complaining seeing a pretty soft start to the season is worth it's weight in gold.

Well that and Adelaide at AO is the second hardest road trip in the AFL currently (behind Geelong at KP), MCG and it's probably an even money game.

I wasnt so confident against melbourne last week but for some reason i feel more comfortable against Adelaide which i shouldnt be specially playing there but. with Jenkins,McGovern,Talia all unlikely i just feel we have a decent shot

Astbury on Walker
Grimes on Betts
Rance on Lynch

Martin,Caddy,Cotchin,Prestia,Grigg

I think we may just suprise $5.50 odds do look extremely tempting

We have won 2 of the last 4 in Adelaide against the Crows, and 3 of the last 5 against the Power.

Traveling to Adelaide has no fear for the players and coaching staff, even the 2013 loss the first quarter was probably the best and most dynamic quarter we have played under Hardwick, we just ran out of steam after that.

Ron the Bear would know, but I reckon under Hardwick we would be one of the best, if not best traveling Victorian side.

We have indeed tried Rance on Betts & it was a monumental failure.
Conca, Short, Markov. One of these types will get him.
Really important that Vlaustin comes back in. We missed him a lot last week.
i reckon give lambert first crack at betts, astbury takes tex, the rest can go as team share strategies, bloody hell they have their gun forward jerker who kicks bags, and tahlia who is their best goal stopper both out... we must be a sniff surely.

Don't forget about Cameron..

Grimes on Betts (has done the Jobe before), Conca on Cameron, Rance on Lynch, Astbury on Tex. All good match ups. Our strength is in the midfield. Expect Lambert to go with Sloan. Jack will kick a bag. We are in this big time.
Key to the game is controlling the midfield or at least keeping the pressure up on their midfielders for the whole game. By doing this then the likes of Betts and Cameron won't be getting the quality of ball coming in as has been the case so far. Nanks is extremely important in this area in his battle with Jacobs and trying to get our midfielders first use of the ball.

From what I have seen of Adelaide so far is that no one has really dominated their midfield so the ball is constantly streaming into their forward line which is potent at the best of times.

The other important factor is starting the game well, with the home ground advantage if they sprint out of the blocks I don't believe especially given our 6 day break and the energy draining type of game against the Dees that we will be able to reign in any sort of lead that the Crows build.

The Downhill skiers under estimated where the newer Tigers where coming from...it seriously caught them off guard..
All that was left for them to do to us was the argy bargy and what once worked...back fired...beautifully!
It will take the rest of the Comp a few more weeks to adjust to the Tiges new game plan...
Instead of expecting the same old crap from us like last year...
Then we will all have a clearer idea of how far we can go this season...

What does doing the Jobe mean? Did he stick needles in Betts ass? ;):p

Think Markov has the job on betts...did ok against the dee's gartlett...
