Long never did anything more than walk next to a trainer that I saw. Then as you say he started signing autographs and then left

I figured he’d just pulled up a bit sore and was taking it easy. I think Simpson said yesterday he was a little bit tight in the hamstring not that he’d done one which would explain the walking and not wanting him to do anything further
Maybe he'd been weeding his verge

Yeo’s injured, that was basically the only new injury they gave any detail on.

Hough, Long and Yeo out all injured. Xon dropped. West, Trew, Shuey and Foley in.

Imagine the embarrassment if an Eagle was to be “omitted” this week!!

Gotta be close to papers stamped for Xon. Think he came in to play fwd more than mid but that in itself poses questions about where he's at.

Been incredibly underwhelming in multiple games so far. Seas of opportunity have parted for him and he doesn't know what to do with it.

That's a proper FU to XON.
Clearly didn't rate his effort.

I do suspect they're giving BBBBBBBBBBBBBW every chance, but with two rucks in the emergencies, keeping their options open.
Ironically I reckon Jamieson requires a fitness test himself which is why he (supposedly) didn't travel.
More points for BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBW being a real trooper and pushing on with genuine injuries.

13 changes to the team from the same game last year

In - Gaff, Clark, Petch, Culley, Jones, Hunt, Rotham, LEdwards, Allen, Ginbey, SPS, Trew + the sub
Out - XO, Langdon, Hedwards, Redden, Nelson, Cripps, JK, Ryan, Strnadica, Naish, Hurn, Rioli and Yeo (who was injured early in the game).

I think the 2023 team would beat the 2022 team.
