Broughton may not even be named this week. Option 2 gives you 2 premiums and allows you to do the Suban-Hodge upgrade later. Are you panicking that Hodge's price is on the rise?

Franklin and Gilbee are relatively cheap right now.

Yeah, me too. I had planned to bring him in about Rd 8-9, but am starting to think i may have missed the boat by then. Using Walesy's site, Hodgey will only drop about $9k this week to $535k. He's forecasted to drop almost 90k if he held that 84 pt ave over the next 5-6 weeks, but should he score a more realistic 100-odd in that same period, his pricetag will pretty much remain the same. Should have a b/e of about 110 this week, if i've worked it out correctly. Might be now or never.

And was thinking Hodge later.

But if Hodge can easily get his B/E next week.. might have to make a tough decision.

You'd want to wait until teams are announced (I am sure you will anyway) because Barham didn't do much yesterday. Looks to me like in 2 weeks time you'll end up no better off than if you kept Anthony.

Especially now you've held him this long.

Anthony - Beams was the best choice but I had 2 other trades to do so couldn't catch HMAS Beams.

Malceski's on the chopping board this week... I know I said i wouldn't trade for a while, but he's my only lingering concern at the moment.

I've already burnt 6 trades

Round 3 - OUT: Boomer & S.Hill, IN: Krakouer & Cheney
Round 4 - OUT: Anthony & Cheney (yeah yeah I know....), IN: Beams & Rance
Round 5 - OUT: Ottens & Hasleby, IN: Cox & Ablett

Got 'lucky' with Boomer & Hasleby getting injuries the week after I traded them (sounds like Hasleby's isn't that bad though), and I was feed up waiting for Ottens.

I've only got $17,200 in the Cap, so if i want to upgrade Ceski to someone decent, I'm going to have to burn a cash cow in Petrenko, Robinson, Rance, Walker or M.Brown...don't want to do that at this early stage though.

OR

I trade Skippy for someone 150-200k less, which would mean I'd have to play both Walker and Mitch Brown on the ground, but would just about have the cash to upgrade Ceski to someone good.

OR

I just try and straight-swap with someone around the 340-360k region

So, if I trade this week (and I probably will..lol):
Skipworth >>> Someone decent around the 150k mark
Malceski >>> Hodge/Drummond/Newman

Unless I can side-swap for someone decent around the 350k mark.

Got a bit of cash in the bank, but will have to downgrade Houlihan, Tuck or Hurn to rookie and upgrade Rich, maybe? Plenty of time and thinking to do yet.

I have 4 rookies in defence so am keen to rectify ASAP. I think Hartlett will score better than Reilly and will free up $200Kish
