We are the youngest team because of CHOICE. Had Cloke and Brown been selected we wouldn't have been the youngest side this round. We still had a better team than Carlton, Melbourne and St. Kilda and we managed to loose all of those games.

Lack of experience should be no excuse.

Coaching suicide to have Cloke and Brown on the sidelines and conced the experience to them. Makes our youth explanations pretty irrelevant when we select that way

Smashed in the clearances Grundy beaten in the ruck.
Also WTF was the Maynard roast thread. Played ok last week and good this week, has a future.
Frost is an awful footballer, and Toovey's errant handball when we had momentum to cost a goal, probably cost us the game, hit a handball target five metres away is a must. I think he might stay in the side because we have a lot of injuries. Brown in for Frost please.

Maynard run through Daisy's mark and gave away 50 to put him on the goal line. That iced us.

Look we were pretty bad in round 19 against them last year when we barely beat them in a performance memorable mostly for the number of cringeworthy mistakes we made. It only would have taken a couple of percent worse to get to where we are today, and we managed that. That I guess is the reality, we were looking bottom 4 quality by the end of last season, and that's what we are producing. Treloar probably at best offsets the loss of Swan, Aish and Howe havent added a heck of a lot, and we have lost too many more and others have regressed so we have gone backwards.

Yes we are young. But it is also the reality that some of our nominally more experienced players are struggling too. Greenwood is not a solution to any problem except how to waste pick 25 and 400k of salary cap. Crisp has gone backwards at a rate of knots. Toovey looks cooked, but he was in hindsight last season.

We have used 36 players already, and probably will have reached 37-38 by next week. We are scrabbling about in the dark still, and it is not going to get better any time soon.

But let's be clear, that was disgusting. Our effort was all over the shop, skills deplorable, but the worst was our cohesion. Its not there, nobody knows where to run, where to be, we continue to play like a team that met each other for the first time as they ran onto the ground. Some of that is the above, some of that is probably coaching, some of that is confidence, and it is all snowballing from there.

I'm out for this season, not going to any more matches, not really caring to be honest. I struggle with clinical depression at the best of times, and I know from bitter experience I need to find some things that replace all the energies lost just getting through life and Collingwood isnt one of them now so it's time to be elsewhere.

We actually look ok contesting the footy around the stoppages or loose ball. But I cringe whenever someone kicks from a mark or free kick in the back half. There is never any player movement, no one presenting an option, to often just kicked straight to the opposition.
