I think you've almost sold me on this. Cox fits my bye round structure with Goldy and Gawn. Plus likely to make money.

The difference in points to me this week is Brown on field instead of Simpson (by trading Dea to Cox instead of Dea to Simpson). If they both play to their averages I take a 42 point hit this week, if Goldy plays and Cox is not needed. If Petracca and Keays both look necessary next week it'll put me behind a bit in my upgrades, but it'll give me a hell of a lot of money to play with.

i dont think jesse white or travis cloke are afl standard.
cox could be.
similar to dougal howard vs lobbe.
howard has to get a run at it just coz hes against lobbe.
may miss a game or 2 when bucks screws up selection.
but i think cox + fasalo gives the pies more than cloke/white in the position.

Davis is out for Smith - No brainer, catchya spud.

As for trade number two, the blokes in the firing line are.

Tippa, MCrouch, and Jlyons after being dropped this week.

I am not too concerned about lyons as I have papley V Essendon as coverage.

I am however getting fed up with the consistent underperformance of Matt crouch and I have the cash to either make him Rockliff

Or, Trade him down to smith instead of davis and make Tippa > M.Boyd.

I am concerned that it may be a bad week to bring boyd in however, chance for the shutdown role on Eddie? plus then im still stuck with davis.

This is true. But he looks as good an option as any at the moment. Not sure any better cheap choices will present any time soon, either.

Didn't train yesterday. Daw worked with the blue team in game sense. Couple of players/coaches in the media saying he'll be fine but clubs have occasionally told porkies in the past.

I'm considering hedging by going Weitering > Hickey via Tippa instead of Weitering > premo DEF.

However, the fact that Goldy plays Sunday arvo makes it almost impossible to wait for late outs to cover him. This means parking one of Goldy or Hickey on the bench this week which is a waste, though I'm happy enough to have Hickey as a FWD keeper.

One consolation is at least Goetz forward lets me loophole McCarthy with Brown or BenKen.

Thinking I'll go for it. If Goldy is in fact out in tonight's final teams then Hickey's a no-brainer for me.

Option A) Dea (yes i realise he is playing but he is a spud and no chance of being a keeper, Weits is actually a remote chance of being D6/D7 at years end) so its Dea to say a Boyd if cash allows

Option B - Davis to Mason Cox via Petracca (who you can swap with Grimley to provide ruck cover if Goldy is a late out as being rumored)

Trade out Weitering and Parish for J Smith and Simpson. Next week upgrade either Papley or Kennedy to Daulhaus or Zorko, the next week trade Mills to Ward or someone similar. You may need to downgrade Dea or Hartley to a cash cow along the way. In three weeks time you should get an extra 100 or so points per round.
