Is it true that Brisbane win the least amount of ball than anyone?

Maybe a Carlton mid or 2 could capitalize...

you wouldnt be bias.

Its not how much of the ball brissy get, its how much the opposition get. Sydney would win the footy less than anyone whilst the roos i expect would be next.

Although i believe the dees and brissy have the most disposals against. You may have written it wrong

Scott Thomson would be a great choice if you have him.

macdonald or Bruce could quite easily tag him but i feel he set for a big one 120, he was gonna be my premium midfielder at the start of the season in which i felt not many would choose him as many would spend a little extra or less to get players like Cross, Hayes or K.Cornes, Corey, Bartel, Ablett

He was gonna be my unique choice but i didnt have enough money for him

Yeah I have him. I thought he'd be a great one to have as a unique choice. How has he gone in the past against Melbourne?

My main contenders are Kornes, Thompson, Pav and Cox... Shaw as a smokey

Godfrey kept him quiet last time and he only managed 48.

He scored 127 and 75 against them in 2006.

Bartel or Kornes?

This may assist with selections. Moved over from NP thread. Sorry to give more than 1 word but KCornes.

Round 8 captain options are up. First listed is most recent.

LBF 51, 79, 50
BJ 126, 67, 118
Cross 65, 103
KCornes 164, 122, 117
Corey 134, 104, 76
Bartell 132, 89, 115
Cox 111, 150, 77
Heater 104, 83, 83
Swan 136, 68
Pav 90, 74, 111
Chappy 70, 92, 107

Good
-------
KCornes no contest if you have him. Lock. Highest scoring ground in Australia and great history against Hawks. Probably goes to Mitchell.
Chappy scored 70 in one quarter before doing Hammy last year against the Tigers so could be a smokey. Corey and Bartell look solid choices but may get more attention if Ablett's out. Cox record great and if he's the only ruckman named there are worse choices.

Not so good
------------

Morris has stitched up Pav the last few times so is a risk. Cross has played 4 games with West this year averaging 117 and 3 without averaging 88. I have posted this around Cross a few times but his scores depend heavily on West playing. Crowley will go to Cooney so there is some upside. BJ still a risk with the calf. Buddy's history is poor but is a different player now, better team as well. Not sure on Swan with that lingering leg injury doubt.

Who should I pick. This is who i've narrowed it down to this week.

Goodwin
Birdman
Cross
Corey
Ablett
Franklin
S Burgoyne

Corey or Cross....both will absolutely rip it :D.

I decided that i am also going with Cross....just seems like the best choice from my team and should be able to rack it up without much hassle.

Thanks a lot for that information 54dogs.

There is no doubt that aurora suits the way Kane plays and i hope he does the same thing he did last year hopefully 130+

Bartel does well for him at the MCG however Kane does unbelievable for anyone at Aurora despite who he plays.

Mind you Bartel could have 15 tackles in the wet haha and only needs 25 touches to add to make a gigantic score.

You have definatly convinced me to switch from Bartel to Kornes i think he will dominate on satdy shame i can't watch it.

Pav, Shaw or Corey???

they are my 3 main choices

outside that i could also pick

B.Harvey
Cox
Scotland
BJ

leaning towards Pav at this stage, dry day in Perth, and dogs don't have that many tall defenders, just depends who he gets on him.... or if he gets double teamed.....

Bartel or Kornes?

I'd go Bartel. I mean, he's Jimmy Bartel after all.
Both are likely to score 150 in any case. But if I had Bartel I'd definitely make him captain.

Glenno, I'd consider Corey or Heath Shaw as a roughie. Corey's stats against Richmond are great. Averaging 104 in his last 3 games against them.

Kornes isnt in great form yet but he looks the goods for this week. Scored 30+ per qtr last round after qtr time without even hitting the pedal. Likes the ground which helps. If u've stretched it to buy Bartel then u cant go past him this week.. especially with the weather being dodgy at many games.

Thoughts on Guerra?

Im thinking with Hodgey out he should have a big one...
Whynot...likes the ground. The Hodge reasoning is just your mind trying to justify it or look for a reason though. He's simply a riskier proposition than others but based on sound knowledge of the past and it might pay off big time.
