NRL Round 8 discussion

Given the short turnaround this week a thread dedicated to one of the years most special days where we remember those who have helped us live the the lives we all now enjoy.

Both fixtures have become signatory games on ANZAC day and both are usually high quality games.

Two of Sydney's more famous teams kick off the day when St George and the Roosters go head to head. The Dragons were disappointing against a fired up Warriors and will look to get back on track against a hot and cold Roosters who are still looking for their best form.

It's hard to go past the Dragons, but it's a day where surprises happen.

At AAMI Park at 7pm Melbourne host the New Zealand Warriors. The two clubs have made this an incredibly special day and we get two teams coming off the back of very good wins. The Warriors will most likely be short handed with SJ, Harris and Kata likely to be out. Usually this would be a worry, but this looks like a very different Warriors side to years gone by. Melbourne are still looking for their best form too, but are tough to crack at home and were excellent against the Broncos.

Oddly enough the Warriors are 3-0 away from home and that will stand them in good stead. I just think Melbourne might be a bit too good and will win this by a couple of points or so.

Couple of wins. Confidence is rising. Players returning from injury. 2 very winable games to come. People and the media dont give them a chance. Would be good for the comp if they can get on a roll.

It was a good win last night. They found a way to score in the last 10 mins and also hold off the Tigers in the last 2 mins.
