I'm struggling to get my head around the changes. Edwards, Hutchinson, Johnston in for Hewett, Owies, Schoenberg?

I'd be surprised to see Cole keep his spot but I can't see a spot for Hall in the side.

Cole will be out for Edwards. Ginbey to play smaller. We have plenty of defenders.

seems Hall or Johnston will be the ins and other emergency

If Tom Cole makes the final 23 what the hell are we even doing? Need to get guys like Allan to 40-50 AFL games as quickly as possible.

Starting to lose interest rapidly in this current coaching regime.

Edwards for Cole
Hutchinson for Hewett
Johnston for Owies
Hall for Schoenberg

Backs:
Edwards, Young, Ginbey, Hough, McCarthy, Duggan, Lindsay
Rucks:
Williams, Duff-Tytler
Mids:
Reid, Yeo, Duursma, Kelly, Maric, Davis, Hall
Forwards:
Waterman, Shanahan, Hutchinson, Baker, Murdock, Johnston, Champion

Can’t see where Cole fits in as I already had to push Baker forward to avoid an oversupply of defenders and he makes sense as a travelling emergency

Allan spending another week in the WAFL makes sense so I don’t have an issue with him missing again despite thinking he probably shouldn’t have been dropped in the first place

Hutchinson is a better forward line addition than Jack Williams as we’d be too tall otherwise

Hall is the surprise inclusion and have to assume they have a specific role in mind for him that isn’t tagging Pickett because he doesn’t have the speed for Kozzie. I actually hope they give Murdock a crack at running with Pickett

Johnston feels like we’re exploring our small forward depth and they’d rather bring him in than Gross who they seem to want to give WAFL time to Tom to develop his midfield craft. With the injuries to Long, Newton and now Owies it leaves Johnston as the next option ahead of Tylah Williams - pleased they didn’t go back to Cripps

To be honest, I didn't want Bo to get dropped last week as most didn't. But given he has been out of form and didn't play well in the WAFL, it would have shown a bit of desperation to rush him back this week.

I'm quite happy we haven't knee-jerked and rushed him back this week. I think it shows the club isn't panicking based on the result vs Tigers. We can panic on here by all means, but it'd be much worse if the club started making desperate moves.

Our backline fills me confidence that we are going get flogged, it’s bloody hard to stomach.
I genuinely feel like I’m starting to lose interest watching WC play, and I’m footy mad like most people on this forum.
Play the kids I say, we know what Duggan and Cole provide and it’s not much.

You don't automatically become a good player because you have played 50 games. The aim is for them to be playing good footy by the time they get to 50 games, play 50 crappy games and you are still going to be crap on your 51st.

Johnstone and hall have been woeful in the wafl. Allan should be way ahead along with gross.

Not sure how Johnstone is going but Johnston has averaged 14 disposals, 5 marks and 4 tackles across 5 matches in the WAFL while kicking 5.4. That's really not bad for someone spending most of his time at half forward.

Newton wasn't producing much early in the season but he was noticeable for his run and chase, and realistically that's what you're hoping that Johnston can produce. Might as well see if he can fit the bill.

Melbourne are quite tall so you’d keep Young in but would be nice to send him to WAFL and work on his defending. Before anyone comes at me, this worked for Harry last year. He played shit, went into the WAFL to work on his game and when he came back he was a much better player

Keen to see Johnston - despite not being legitimately outstanding in the WAFL he seems like the type to average 14 disposals, 5 marks, 4 tackles and a goal at whatever level he played - could see him step that up to AFL level and at the same time step it down if he was playing WAFL ressies. Don't think he's the type to dominate ever or go totally missing ever.

Hopefully can provide a cool head working it forward, we need someone who can rack up a few score assists hitting the smart but boring kicks to players 30-45m out.

Just shows how irrevelent is

Johnstone has not been woeful, lol. Probably 2nd best small/med forward behind Champion.

Hall's been tagged, as well as been a tagger but hasn't had much impact.

Cole survives. Hall emergency.

It so disappointing that we are wasting games on him…
You can just see him with the head wobbles trying to guard lattell Pickett at some point .

One less game of him and another into Allen , grego or anyone would be more beneficial..

Some of these cockroaches managed to survived Simpsons era because he kept playing them… a few of those same cockroaches are going to outlast McQualter because he wont finish them off
