Personally, I think Joel Macdonald is the most underrated player on our list - average footskills (nowhere near as bad as people say), but he wins a lot of contests and provides good drive and leadership.

And it's exactly what our side needs right now. You know you will get 100% from him and he generally wins more contests than he loses. Good addition to the side for the time being.

Not actually true I believe - it's just that when he makes clangers, he makes absolute howlers. He's all or nothing our Joel.

Good that he's in for mine. Comments around the place from Neeld and co. re the younger players crumbling under pressure or after mistakes, going into their shells, and then stopping doing what they need to. Joel may be nothing more than blue collar, but he'll always keep trying.

The way things are going right now his occassional errors by foot would hardly be noticeable
His experience would come in handy right now - dare I say it, even more handy than Rodan & Byrnes. Hopefully he gets a decent run in the team. If nothing else, he can lead by example in terms of the required four quarter effort. To me, it's a given that he'll provide that

We've been in very average form over the past fortnight, a lot of complacency creeping into the players minds after the strong start to the year. I can't see us winning by more than 6 goals, we're hoping to go into the bye without any injuries and I can see us playing bruise-free footy yet again this week.

I miss Barty!! He copped a hard time but he was a bloody workhorse who gave it his all , terlich has stepped into that role now and terlich attacks more .

I agree with Joel Mac sentiments , you know he won't give up at all which is why magner should be in the side .. Tommy couch should be given a run as well he know how to find the footy

2nd time I've ever gone to the MCG, and the Dees were also involved that time. Sat with your supporters and you boys got up for a really enjoyable win over Richmond, maybe a silly chance to make it 2 in a row?

If you boys get up, I think someone should contact the club and raise funds for me to fly over every week

It's his decision making that usually has me cursing his name. He does well for 95% of the game, but just about every game he'll have 2-3 moments where his decision or indecision ends up costing us a goal.

Having said that, most of our defenders are probably guilty of the same.
