A few changes there. Bode a bit unlucky. I'd have rather we kept Perrie than Carey.

Do I take it that Ricciuto is fit for Saturday?

Shirley and Bode had to go on last weeks effort.
Perrie, I know had a bad game, but S.Stevens is still an unknown qty.
Would have preferred to keep Perrie and Stevens, and drop Biglands who is just average at this time.
Good to Schuback get his opportunity.

We have certainly added some pace with Schuey, Gags & Ladhams coming back into the side.

Personally I would have stuck with Perrie for another game at least, given his performances in the past against the Lions. If Hentschel is better suited back, how do we structure our forward line now?

The first 3 mentioned also have very good foot skills which was a rare commodity against the Roos. We might actually see the ball passed to our own players!!! ;)

As for Perrie, I'm with you on this one. He got crucified last week. In the first quarter, Perrie played CHF and Carey a roaming forward pocket and that was the only quarter that our forward line fired. Once Perrie was taken away from CHF and Carey moved out there that was the end of our forward structure.

I feel sorry for Perrie as he's the latest victim of Ayres playing a player out of form.

Hentschel is VERY lucky to be still there after another anaemic performance last week. Having said that, he'd be pretty sure to be at FF again, wouldn't he?

I am hoping Carey plays FF.

Hentschel to take Hart's spot in defence. Gags may get a run in defence or up forward.

Stevens should play forward - he took some good marks in the WCE trial game.

Forward line talls - Carey, Welsh and Stevens with Schuback, Ladhams as crumbers. I think the other flank/pocket will be used as part of midfield rotation. Either way there is a better balance of talls and smalls this week.

Good to see some genuine crumbers out there. Hopefully their disposal will be better than Bode's last week. I'd tell either Lads or Schuey to stay with Carey at all times and work off him.

Reilly should start on the wing, not the bench.

As I said in the other thread Bode is unlucky to get dropped. He was one of our better players last week.

One thing is very obvious from these INs. we went after pace and good foot skills. As macca23 and Kane said Perrie has been crusified. I would have kept him in and played him at CHF.

As I suspected we opted for pace. I said it before that Brisbane's defence is suspect when they come up against quick forward line.

We had them on toast ast year at the GABBA but couldn't kick straight. Who ever plays CHF (presumably Carey) MUST have a big game.

Personally, I would play Hentschel in defence BUT I suspect that he will play up forward.

macca23 made an interesting coment about our forward line againsst Eagles in the pre-season. we went for mobile and quick player. I suspect we will opt for same here.

I would definetly start Reilly on the wing and move Doughty to bench. I reckon Gallagher was picked for his pace and disposal. I am sure that his game against Brisbane last year came into strong consideration.

I hope like hell we play Hentschel in defence.:(

Hart is a BIG loss.

If Carey plays FF & Hentschel moves into defence, who plays CHF? Stevens or Kenny?

I agree Reilly should start on a wing. Would we dare match him up on Lappin? Would be a learning experience...

Hart's not a big loss based on last week's game.

Hope Gag's kicking for goal is better than his efforts against the Lions last year!

Here is how I would line them up.

_F: _ 17. Scott Welsh _ 2. Wayne Carey _ 26. Jacob Schuback :D
HF: _ 18. Graham Johncock _ 27. Scott Stevens _ 24. Brett Burton
_C: _ 33. Brent Reilly _ 32. Mark Ricciuto _ 20. Tyson Stenglein
HB: _ 3. Kris Massie _ 16. Ken McGregor _ 9. Tyson Edwards
_B: _ 37. Trent Hentschel _ 8. Nathan Bassett _ 7. Nigel Smart
1R: _ 4. Matthew Clarke _ 36. Simon Goodwin _ 23. Andrew McLeod

INT: _ 11. Michael Doughty _ 21. James Gallagher _ 35. Rhett Biglands _ 40. Chris Ladhams

Who do we tag??????? Who do we play head to head??????

Hart has played some 270 odd games. You can't replace experience. while he was **** against Roos he still is one of our best defenders. If not the best. His run out of defence will be missed.

Probably Stinger on Black & hope Lappin doesn't run riot (though could match Goody on him). Would run Roo head-to-head with Voss & Macca on Aker.

He got the ball alright...but his kicking was bloody awful!!

The number of times he kicked it high in the air, bombing it in to the forwards...gave us no bloody hope! Terrible stuff and deserves to be dropped.

If we are going to go on that then so should Roo, Goody, Massie and a hell of a lot others. There was not one player that didn't use the ball the way you said it.

Bode was better than at least 2-3 players who kept their spot.

I was most pleased to see on Channel 10 sport this evening that our ruckmen have been instructed to belt the ball forward more often than not tomorrow from contests, rather than the well-directed palm down, every single time.

Alleluia, praise the Lord!

That brought a smie to my face.

We have to mix it up a bit more. Brisbane thump it more than any other side.
