Re: Round 16 Trades

I'd downgrade Hunt, but i'd wait another week before going to Ash Smith.

Thanks, the only problem is I need Pavlich this week to cover Buddy in the forwards and Smith would be my 9th defender so it wouldn't be a huge issue if he doesn't keep playing.

I have 10 trades left so that's not an issue and am only going for league wins so not too worried about overall.

Re: Round 16 Trades

Who would you trade down to make some money?

Waters or Hunt or Maguire to Smith (94K)

Then Ziebell to Pavlich.

Hunt's BE is only 35 - wait a week.

My Dilemma...

Which 2 to start in the FWD line?

Neon, Tippett, Ipod, Rockliffe>????

10 trades, you might as well jump now.

Re: Round 16 Trades

Gysberts is injured. I think 1 week to go.

Same situation, leaning towards Tarranrt right now unless anyone says otherwise.

That is good news about Gysberts, I may have bench cover for the finals after all.

not sure who's place Tarrant has taken but I'm taking a gamble on him over Dennis-Lane this week especially now Buddy is out this week and who knows if J.Brown will actually play. I'll wait for Sundays teams though just in case a more pressing issue arises.

I'd play Ipod and Rockliffe. Neon coming back from injury and Tippett is playing Geelong on a Friday night is the best I can come up with. I'ts a gamble with all of them!

Re: Round 16 Trades

have 7 trades left and 73k in the bank.

So i'm thinking

this week
Martin > Blair
Ziebell > chapman

round 17 or 18
Rockcliff > Riewoldt

my team would just about be complete, but should i trade out C.Cornes in next couple of weeks aswell?.

Can't go wrong with Chapman/Riewoldt...although i'm staying away from Chapman as i'm worried he might get rested during the SC finals...

Re: Cornes...I guess it depends on how the rest of your team looks. If he is a weak link and the rest of your team is all upgraded etc then i'd definitely upgrade him.

Re: Round 16 Trades

still deciding whether to trade goose to gundy using his MMP powers forward (swap with phil davis).or down grade goose to Henderson(also a MMP)
and use the cash to up grade nick Nat to Jamar and/or trade balla/roughy to goodes hoping he plays in the guts and gets some big numbers with goodes and gundy that would fix my $hit forward line my backs are set with waters as 7D which way to go mmmm??

Re: Round 16 Trades

P Davis --> A Smith
T Armstrong --> Hayes/Mitchell/Pavlich (or anyone under 493900)

Who to get within that price range?

Pavlich easily. BE of 105, averaging 105, playing Melbourne at Home. All for an bargain price of $454,400.

MPP and a gun. Easy.

Re: Round 16 Trades

5 trades left, 80k (saving some for riewoldt)

Hille>Cox
Hille>Jamar
Hille>Ryder

Really stuck on what to do :S

Ryder has averaged around 100 from round 6-14. That's good longevity and can't be discounted. Ryder will get bigger scores.

Cox is decent also, but not as consistent as Paddy.

Re: Round 16 Trades

tough call, doesn't look like Gysberts is getting a game any time soon (not even making EMG) and the later it is in the season the more likely guns are going to be rested or pull out late. Blair doesn't have great job security but I guess it is calculated risk that at least one of him or Gysberts will be picked from round 19 onwards.

I'm looking to downgrade Ziebell in the forwards for my 2nd forward bench position. I have permanent cover in Gumbleton but would still like a playing forward, really the only decent options are Dennis-Lane and Robbie Tarrant, who would you pick?

then I can upgrade Moles to Murphy / Boyd

cliffnotes
Dennis-Lane or R. Tarrant
Boyd or Murphy.

Gday, I would probably take Tarrant, may have better job security than DL but tough call.

Re: Round 16 Trades

Have 4 trades left..

Looking at;
Option 1:
JKT > Pavlich &
Hall > Jesse O'Brien.. ($5k left and 3 MPP players Waite, P Davis, Obrien)

or

Option 2:
P Davis > O'Brien &
Hall > Pavlich.. ($130k left with the MPP option for O'Brien(D) & Waite(F)

Leaves me 2 trades for injuries or upgrades during finals..

Are these wasted trade/s?

I basically want to have an edge on others, I am aiming at minor premiership in my league ($100 prizemoney) and I also think Pavlich is about to explode, 30 posi games (especially with no Barlow) and kick goals whilst resting forward...

My current team is;

Goddard, Hodge, Enright, H Shaw, Gilbert, Goodwin, Waters (P Davis, Webberley)

Ablett, Chapman, J Selwood, Deledio, Judd, Montagna (Gysberts, JKT)

Sandilands, Tippett (Warnock, Skipper)

O'Keefe, Goodes, Podsiadly, Waite, Hall, Franklin, Ballantyne (Lobbe, McNeil)

I'm leaning towards option 2 because if I have a great run with injuries, for the finals I can upgrade Ballantyne to N Riewoldt once his price drops, with the $130k I have left over..

Thoughts?

Dennis-Lane out so now it's a no brainer. Tarrant into my team. I'm taking a gamble he'll hold his spot. I've talked to a few North supporters and they think they'll persist with him until the end of the year.

Now the question is who do I part with for his services. Hitchcock or Gumbleton?

Wottamachine I can almost guarantee Hall will be back next week so with so little trades left I'd just keep him. It's a gamble but it will save you a trade. It's up to you.

Re: Round 16 Trades

I traded Betts to Higgins... Made 160k in the process to do my last upgrade (Ruck). 6 Trades left and will probs go into the finals with 4 trades for injuries :)

Second on my leagues ladder too taking on number 1 next week :)

Yeah I know Hall will be back, it's Pavich's price and run home that has me in this debacle...
I always wanted to bring Pavlich in, it was going to be for either Hall, Ballantyne or Pods.. I also want to bring Roo in for the finals, it is a hard decision..

I'd have a look at Jesse O'brien as well, he is on the brink of playing again, if the lions lose tomorrow, i'm sure they'll play their kids for the rest of the season.. You can also use him with the MPP option..
Gumbleton is the one you take our of your side, Hitchy can post a not bad score for an emergency type player..

Re: Round 16 Trades

Also trading in Tarrant, need to trade him in tonight and seems the safest option.

Gumbleton is at least a reliable bench option though. He will rarely crack the half century but no matter how bad he plays he is at least guaranteed a game.

Re: Round 16 Trades

Fixing up the backline this week.
Current squad- Goddard, Hodge, Malceski, Enright, Hurn, Maguire, Silvagni.
Emg Webberly, and just done Nason-> Ash Smith for cashing up purposes.

I think it's time to bring in Lake, and I can do so by trading any of the above. Despite the fact that they're both back and (hopefully) firing, I'm leaning towards Hurn or Goose over Silvagni, more for the extra cash the trade will get me. So bearing that in mind, does anyone have any strong thoughts on which one I should go with?

Leaning towards trading out Goose, just because he's a little more injury prone, and if Hurn is up and running he can usually score a few more, but it is an extra $20K, and there really isn't that much between them.

Halp???

Re: Round 16 Trades

alright lads a quick one..

Over Hille's injury so I'm looking to either trade

Got a few options with only 5 trades and 14k remaining..

Cox - Avg's the most of what I can afford, plays in a rubbish team, will he get rested? Is he the same player he was before the injury?? I get 6k remaining

Leunberger - Brissy's no.1 ruck with Clark rotating sometimes, been compared to Cox, avg of 67 thanks to a couple of poor scores early on, 2 good scores in the last 2 games (126,96 i think??) 100k leftover

Jacobs - Assumed the No.1 ruck role at Carlton, Looks quite mobile, won't lose his spot in the team, decent avg of 73, also if he goes down injured like most ruckman Warnock will be next in line, 70k left over

Obviously if I get Jacobs or Leuy I get a bit of cash to offload either Waters to a Shaw or a Duffield or Hall as a luxury trade to a Didak or Riewoldt.. team as follows

Goddard, Enright, Hodge, Malceski, Gilbee, Hurn, Waters (Webberley, Davis)

Ablett, Montagna, Selwood, Pendlebury, M Murphy, Cross (Banner, Gysberts)

Sandilands, HILLE (Warnock, Lobbe)

Pavlich, JB, Waite, ROK, Goodes, Pods, Gumbleton (Hall, Roberts)

Re: Round 16 Trades

Hot Tiges, I had the same problem. Ended up going for Cox, he's the only one of the 3 capable of finishing the season off with a 100 average

Only thing I'm worried with Cox is I already have 2 eagles :( Think he will get rested at all??
