Stevens was BOG with 5 goals.

And in typical Scott Stevens tradition he wore a lace-up Port Adelaide guernsey with "Standard Chartered" and "Jubilee 1986" written on it.

Too obscure? :o

We need Jay Schulz ;)

That was a performance of real heart and real guts from a football club on its knees, wounded and bleeding. I hope everyone concerned with our football club saw that effort by Richmond and learned from it.

And just on Schulz... the kid can play.

I knew that:p. The first time I saw Schulz play was in a WWT reserves match. Hentschel and Schulz had a field day kicking 15 between them. They worked together really well. Since that day I was hoping they might be reunited at Crows :)

You'd hope so, woudn't you.

I really do think we will have a lift in performance in the next few weeks, and I'll be damn disappointed if there is no response from our players.

It just goes to show though, how unnatural the next 9 weeks are for a club that is changing coaches - and Richmond's hasn't even left yet.

It was a terrific performance by a down and out footy team - but of course that raises the question as to why they haven't been playing with this passion earlier.

Hopefully they can win 2 more games and lose their priority pick!!

:p

How many times has the RFC had the opportunity to show heart, and put in a gutsy performance for its supporters in time of adversity.

How many times in the last couple of years has it delivered - - nil.

When their coach's job was on the line did they deliver then - - no

When their season was on the line did they deliver then - . - no

When it was being ridiculed by the press and its supporters did it deliver then - - no

So we praise them when nothing is on the line - TRY NO

Nah you're right it was a sh1t performance.

Rated at $8 before the match, coach just resigned, no Richo and given no hope, but almost beat the reigning triple Premiers at the Gabba with their star recruit - who has come under criticism at certain periods this season - and a 19yo kid who could well be their future leading the way.

Take a good hard look at yourselves Richmond, you showed nothing last night.

Do you know anything about football?

I know they still didn't win.

I know that the Brisbane players would not have been at the top of their game for a match against Richmond.

I know when challenged Brisbane was able to go to another gear.

So do we praise Richmond for a credible loss.
Sounds like the mentality associated with losing clubs.

Hope you don't apply that philosophy to the Crows.

No you don't.

Well that's a given, considering they're the best side in the competition and were playing at home.

No, rather it sounds like your level of comprehension is poor to non-existent - and this isn't the first time you've shown this.

If you'd read my initial post properly you would have seen I was praising Richmond's effort and determination despite being faced with an impossible task while the club is at its lowest ebb.

Everyone expected Richmond to come out, roll over and die - just like Hawthorn are doing at the minute. Instead they came out and against all odds - with arguably their best player out - came within a whisker of beating the best side in the competition on their home ground.

So you don't want us to fight the rest of the season out to the best out of our abilities?

We already have a smart crumber who kicks goals- Hayden Skipworth. 5 goals and 40 possessions in the last two games. He'll stay.
