Rule change #1:
WI beat RSA yet had a poorer NRR because
WI: 278 from 50 overs RR: 5.56
RSA: 275 from 49 overs RR:5.61
I think it's wrong that a team can win yet have a poorer RR, and thus, a negative NRR. To fix this, RSA should have been credited as facing 50 overs, not 49, such being the penalty for their slow over rate.
Rule Change #2:
As I understand it, a batsman is credited with having faced a delivery if it is legal, or if it is not called a wide. I believe that this is because by definition, a batsman was not given the chance to score if a ball is called a wide. The situation happened last night where a bowler bowled a noball which would have otherwise been called a wide. Therefore, the batsman was credited as having faced that delivery because it was a noball, and not a wide. In such a situation, the call should be changed from noball to wide, and the batsman not credited as having faced that delivery.
