Far out if there is one player who would destroy the opposition with the standing the mark ruling, is Lewis Jetta.

His speed and kicking would be worth 2-5 goals a game alone.

SPP contract whilst Willie is inactive.

Watched a replay of the Saints and Blues game tonight, and despite all the flak, the rule worked well, I liked it. And scoring was high too with fast paced footy. It was all good. The Saints are looking good for 2021.
Let's see how our Eagles go on Sunday.

I watched the first quarter and thought it was the most boring bit of football I've seen in a long time. Just free kicks and goals.

This smacks of typical knee-jerk reaction from the AFL. It may or may not be a positive rule change, but it comes on the back of Alistair Clarkson calling for it a couple of weeks ago ffs.

Are Clarko and Gil banging? Seems to get whatever he wants.

Logistics around this are farcical. Has to be a 12 day injury, but the player can still play the next week. Should've been just a concussion sub
Where are we all reading this point? All I can find on it is in the article on the AFL site which disagrees:

To be eligible for a medical substitution, the club doctor must decide that an injured player will be unable to play a game in the next 12 days.

" If the 23rd 'medical substitute' player doesn't take the field, they will still have a senior game credited to their career tally. And on Grand Final day, an unused medical substitute player on the winning team will receive a premiership medal. "

Not a fan of this ruling

It's how it used to work when they had 19th and 20th men back when Keys was a young lad.

At least it might give Leon Davis some company, as a player to receive a medal without actually playing in a winning GF.
