Rumour at this stage

I heard from a fairly good source yesterday that Simon Goodwin could be looking across the Vic border to play next year.

Its only rumour and I dont wish to sound alarmist but we cannot afford to give this bloke away ( in the prime of his career ) particularly after losing Kane Johnson.

I hope Im wrong; maybe its contract signing time and the buzz has been let loose.

For what its worth the rumour came from the same source that said "Carey will play in the Wizard Cup GF" when I broke it ...way back when

We MUST keep all 3 players that are out of contract. Goody is a required player and the sooner we stich up the deal the better.

Simon was on TV the other night, saying he loves Adelaide, and wants to play for the Crows in the future. He has a family here, and owns a pub. Why on earth would he want to leave? He's Deputy Vice-Captain. Best mates with Roo. Has a spot on Adelaide radio Apart from Sour-puss Rehn, why would an Adelaide born and bred player want to go to Vic???

Why can't it be ignored? Carey to play in the Wizer was hardly an huge surprise.

Like I said, I cannot understand why he would consider this. Perhaps it's just a tool his management are using to lever another 50k for it's client. Perhaps it's nothing.

Certainly ther's not much point in expending too much energy on it.
