I wouldn't want Sven, but I do think some of the points made against him in this thread deserve to be picked out.

I wouldn't want him either but you do make good points, I mean England have good players that play well for their clubs, and look good on paper but people forget they have to gel for it to be an actual good team. They were in a pretty damn hard group, I thought they did the business against North Korea, did OK against Portugal, only performance you can question I guess is the Brazil one even though Brazil are probably a better side

Good suggestion, and no I don't know whether he speaks English but he may also get Batistuta involved who lives here and in some kind of coaching capacity that would be a big get on both fronts. We need to forget about the European approach for a while. We need to get into development mode asap and I'd be more inclined to have South Americans at the helm in that circumstance.

But we need to get a development coach in who will fast track the next generation of players without crushing any flair that they might have.
