Music to my ears.

That image of him in that link looks "menacing" too.

Watchout, HE"S BACK!

I am expecting a lazy 6-7 this week.

Also, the article says the VFL team is playing on Sunday, yet down the bottom it says 16th May, Saturday. Can anyone confirm the date?

Why is Anthony named in the VFL side??

Collingwood
B: Frost, Thoolen, Blight
HB: Goldsack, Toovey, Bennell
C: Wellingham, Beams, Dyas
HF: Cook, Dawes, Stanley
F: Macaffer, Rusling, Anthony
R: Bryan, Barham, Dick

not a bad team that.

When we have a Sunday game and pick an extended side, all the guys on the bench are named in the VFL side too. Once the senior side is finalised the VFL side will change also.

On another note, looking at the team and the likelihood that Ben Reid will be playing seniors this week, it is a wonderful opportunity for Goldy to stand up and hold down CHB this week.

He has been out of touch lately, however, he possesses the ability to play both tall and small (as seen at AFL level) and the Tigers look set to have a few key talls who have had a wealth of AFL experience. i.e. Schulz or Riewoldt.

Has been long overdue for a break-out confidence booster and this might be the game that gets the ball rolling for him.

Also, no Francis in the VFL this week? He has been in solid form throughout the year. Anyone care to shed any light on why he isn't playing? Injured?

That really shows just what ability Rusling has, when he is fit and firing.

Back in 07, towards the end of the year and the finals series, he made us a better side, straightening us up and providing us with a true full forward for probably the first time in MM's tenure as coach.

It would be great to see Rus perform out of the box this week, and work his way in for the WCE game, but we probably have to be more realistic and think it will take him 3-4 games at VFL level before we see the "real" Sean Rusling again.

We will look like a completely different team if we can get Rusling and Cloke back in the same team, playing hard leading, strong marking football.

There is hope yet.:thumbsu:

every time rusling has returned he has kicked multiple goals in the VFL seconds and then multiple goals in the VFL iirc

In 07 i think he kicked 6 in the willi seconds, then 3 for willi then came in against melbourne for us kicked 1 and had 15 touches then kicked 3 or 4 goals against the swans

Give it a month and our forwardline will be Trav CHF, Rus FF and Anthony FP with didak, davis, medhurst, thomas going between middle, pockets and flanks

haha they could have chosen a better photo, he looks like an orc from lord of the rings.

The fact they played him round 1 in 2008 despite his lack of experience means the boy can play. i wish him all the best

Good news, hopefully he can find some form over the next few weeks and then make his return into the side. He's the one forward that can structure the way we move the ball into the forward line because he naturally leads straight rather than out wide to the pockets.

The posts might have changed with the emergence of Jack Anthony, but no question he was in our best 22, all players fit, going into this year.

One of my favourite players, I hope that this can be the start of a good year for him.

All the best Ruz.

I love Sean Rusling.

He leads straight at the footy hard and has strong hands. He's also the sort of bloke that will never pull out of a contest.

He is coming from a long way back, but let's hope he gets there.

This news would make alot of you Rusling lovers happy i expect you all think he will kick 10 in a half of football

Nah he'll kick 12 in the first half then they'll take him off because the game would already have been won. I know it. You know it. We all know it.

Good luck to Rus. I hope he gets through a half of football. I think he'll need 3 weeks in the 2's before he's considered for the 1's.

Whats the point of posting this? Just a negative dig at no one in particular.

Whats the point of alot of things said on this board ???

Rusling is a BigFooty favourite

Good on him his back hope he does well but i just fined it ammusing that every body thinks his a superstar his done nothing

His highlight video has like 8 things on it all repeated theres a reason for that he his played like 8 games

It's not what he has done but what he is capable of.

We have seen how good he can be and we desperately need a strong bodied forward willing to make a presence and to kick goals. JA can't do it all on his own and he isn't exactly a strong bodied bloke.

Your right his highlight reel was limited. I would have thought you knew why that is.

His potential is what gets us excited. If his body is right then he will be a gem.

Drew-Petrie-like-6-in-a-quarter. RRRUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

Ah well, we can dream... Good luck son and hope you get an unbroken run of 110 games in 5 years :thumbsu:
