I was fitzroy. was young when they merged, kind of followed brisbane for a little but by the time they won 3 flags i realized i didn't care. Mum was a footscray supporter, started having those fantastic footy feelings again watching them with her, so got behind the sons of the west.

That's awesome. I have a lot of mates that were Fitzroy supporters that just gave up on footy. That's ****ed for two reasons.
1. The AFL should hang their head for not saving the club
2. They miss out on footy, and footy is grouse.

Our family was Fitzroy to the bone. Dad has been to 2 games of footy since 1996. One brisbane GF and one random Blues game. He watches it on TV a bit, but doesn't get into like he used to.

Hard not to treat these annoying matches in-between as a waste of time, energy, and extremely funny and witty posts. It's like the league just assumes I have an endless supply of those things without realising how it's tearing me apart on the inside.
