"how to make a waterproof adhesive sign to replace the "SACK HINKLEY" on Port Road"

To make a waterproof adhesive sign that replaces the "SACK HINKLEY" one on Port Road (or anywhere outdoors), here’s how to do it professionally, cheaply, and in a way that survives weather and sticks well:

🛠️ Materials Needed

ItemRecommended OptionNotes
Waterproof label materialVinyl sticker paper (matte or gloss)For inkjet or laser printer
PrinterInkjet (with pigment ink) or laserPigment > dye ink for water resistance
Sealer (optional)UV-resistant clear spray (e.g., Krylon)For extra durability
Adhesive (if not pre-backed)3M Spray Mount or VHB tapeHigh-strength outdoor-rated
Backing surface (optional)Corflute or aluminium compositeFor mounting on poles/fences

🧾 Step-by-Step Process

✅ 1. Design Your Sign

  • Use any design software (Canva, MS Word, Photoshop)
  • Bold fonts, high contrast, minimal words
  • Print at final size (e.g., A3 or A4)

✅ 2. Print on Waterproof Vinyl Sticker Paper

  • Use:
    • Inkjet printer with pigment ink (e.g., Epson DURABrite)
    • OR Laser printer (even better for water resistance)
  • Test one small sheet to make sure it sticks and resists smearing

✅ 3. Seal the Print (Optional but Recommended)

  • Spray with UV-resistant clear acrylic (e.g., Krylon Crystal Clear)
  • Let dry completely
  • This prevents fading and ink bleed over time

✅ 4. Apply to Surface

  • If applying directly to:
    • Metal, glass, signs, etc.: Peel and stick
    • Rough/painted surfaces: Use outdoor adhesive spray or VHB tape
  • For extra strength:
    • Mount on a rigid corflute board, then tape or cable-tie in place

✅ 5. Choose Placement Carefully

  • Flat surface, not too dusty or oily
  • Out of direct scraping or frequent contact
  • Consider sun exposure (some fade faster)

🧠 Tips

  • Want it removable but durable? Use removable vinyl (like Cricut Smart Vinyl Removable) and Velcro tape or magnet backing
  • Want it permanent? Use permanent outdoor adhesive or silicone adhesive sealant

This is a delusional, mentally weak, stubborn, clueless, grifting man who has somehow remained head coach of the Port Adelaide Football Club for 13 years, a man who has racked up countless unenviable and shameful records in that time, who only last night recorded the lowest score and highest losing margin against out bitter cross-town rivals, who refuses to leave and give the club some clear air ... who instead is hanging on to the bitter end. What are some other short punchy slogans, in addition to "SACK HINKLEY", or in place of it.

Here are some short, punchy, high-impact slogans that fit the tone of frustration, finality, and demand for change — all in the spirit of "SACK HINKLEY", but with variation, escalation, or poetic sting:

🔥 Direct Variants

  • ENOUGH HINKLEY
  • HINKLEY OUT
  • HINKLEY GONE
  • TIME’S UP KEN
  • 13 YEARS, NO FLAG
  • THE ROT STARTS WITH KEN

🧨 More Aggressive / Defiant

  • NO MORE KEN
  • HE’S KILLING US
  • THIS IS NOT OK
  • PORT ≠ KEN FC
  • KEN = STAGNATION
  • NOT ONE MORE YEAR

🪦 Dramatic / Ironic

  • THE END, KEN
  • HINKLEY ERA: 0/13
  • LONGEST GOODBYE EVER
  • "STABILITY" IS DEATH
  • DELAYED MERCY

😤 Mocking / Sarcastic

  • TRUST THE PROCESS?
  • 13TH TIME'S THE CHARM?
  • HINKLEY: THE LEGACY
  • PERFORMANCE COACH? LOL

🎯 Minimalist

  • RESIGN
  • REBUILD
  • CHANGE
  • FAILURE

Would you like the slogans formatted as printable stencils or bumper stickers? Or a batch suitable for a vinyl plotter or spray paint template?

THIS IS NOT OK !!! is my favourite.

I'm not sure Chocco would come out even if he wasn't employed by another club. He's just not the type to do that, he also seems to hold a bit of a grudge since given the arse, perhaps that's worn off , not sure..but I don't know why not one ex Port Adelaide champion or at the very least previous listed player hasn't come out strongly regurgitating what we're all saying. If you gave a shit enough you would. Tim G has been so disappointing just toeing the line since the get go. Warren has been the only one before he landed on the board.

You're right, nothing to see here.

I haven't heard anything of substance since last night, but the gist I've gotten for a while is that the Ken supporters inside the building are hellbent on getting through this year without a handover to Carr, whilst the Ken haters (for a better word) are content with Ken seeing it out because it is highlighting what we've all known about Ken for years, and shows what a rabble the Club has become under the current administration.

Ken literally said pregame last night that the players don't like playing in showdowns because they're too intense.

Next sunday's game vs Geelong will likely be similar, though it's going to be a nationally televised game, which will be exponentially embarrassing for the sponsors and partners of the Club.

I stopped watching half way through the third quarter last night when it was obvious where the game was going. The players don't care, the coach clearly doesn't care, and the administration have enabled it all so clearly they don't care either.

So I really don't see why we should care either.

Brother, what happened to Ken is out when mathematically eliminated which is now

Sack Hinkley is such a great slogan, it's no wonder it's endured. Simple, to the point, catchy, has spread beyond this forum. Doesn't give any respect to him like an "it's time for change" message would.

He's shit, we want him gone, Sack Hinkley.

F**k me, even today some of these happy clappers still have excuses….cant even go to the kids training without some half wit lamenting the “injury crisis” and citing Ken’s presser as a balanced, honest opinion…FML

He cant kick it for ‘em m8

Might go back to the John Butcher thread from 2014 where everyone told me that Hinkley knows what he's doing and quote people asking how that went for them

Imo the last month has been total,
madness
Port have been nowhere next to top 8 contention.
Wasting a half a season with the departing coach. After such a long period as senior coach.Just doesn’t make any sence..Couldn't be a worse time for a rebuild. With Tasmania on the horizon.
We have holes all over the field. Not to mention some strange coaching tactics in the showdown.
Flooding the backline to stop the Crows scoring. Was asking for trouble. From our crazy ,first possession..We needed to hit the scoreboard early. And put the Crows under early pressure.
Last nights game, plan told the players. That we where facing a 10 goal + loss.
Its time to walk Ken.Dont make the club sack you. That will upset some of our high profile players.
