Interestingly , InjuryUpdate has both Riewoldt and Josh Gibson ( same injury, same weekend ) listed as return for round 15.

Jesse Smith is now "indefinite" but the comment is that he won't be ready for AFL before round 8. ( I wonder if he was at training yesterday ).

Poor Luke Miles may not have much of an AFL career left, wont be able to play until after the break.

Blake McGrath and Sean Dempster are expected to have recovered from their "diagnosis unknown " for round 7.

Gram's injury is listed as a "Corked hip"

Re: Saints injury list after round 4

Feel gutted for Miles, was jumping for joy during he NAB Cup as he was sdticking up a fair few people with the "just a fireman" opinion, showed bits and pieces that he'll be a solid sort without being totally flashy and just do his job, so it's a shame he couldn't get a trick with the stress fractures.

Yeah we've had worse players on the list who can tell their grandkids they played footy for the Saints.

Hi guys,

Seeing as I'm involved with InjuryUpdate I figured I'd clarify a few things.

Whilst I produce the injury lists that ultimately get posted to the front page, I don't update it or write the comments, so I can't offer anything about the comment for Jesse Smith.

I wouldn't read too much into the return date for Dempster & McGrath. If they're not officially listed and I don't have any insiders at that club, I just list them as "unknown" test.

I'd missed that Winmar hadn't played VFL so far this season, so he'll be added next week.

At the end of the day, those sites can only be as accurate as clubs choose to allow them to be. Each club uses opposition scouts and analysts so they're going to have a good idea of who will and won't play each week, so realistically the only people your club is attempting to fool is their own fans.

Thanks Billybob and good work with the site.

You're final point is right on the money. The lack of information our club gives in their weekly injury reports doesn't fool anybody. The other clubs know far more than we as supporters will ever know. We already saw that a few weeks ago when Scott Pendlebury said in a press conference that they knew Sam Fisher would play when our supporters were under the impression he was at least another 2 weeks away. We're the only victims. I suppose because we are winning games our supporters don't mind, even if they are under the misguided impression that our secrecy fools the opposition and actually helps us win those games.
